Hello Wonderful Raptor Families!
We are so excited to begin a new year together with your students, and we can already tell it’s going to be a powerful year of growth and success. From your students’
advisory experience, to the quality of their classrooms, to their after school experiences, we hope this year is full of opportunities to celebrate each child for who they are,
and offer opportunities for them to grow with us. Our theme this year – Seek the truth.
See Yourself. Grow from strength – will be our guide in all the work we do. We want to
improve as a school in such a way that pushes us to see our own truths from multiple
perspectives, see ourselves in those truths so we know the role we are playing, and
then grow from our strengths to address anything we want to see get better. We have
been introducing this theme to students this week, and have encouraged them to try
and use this same process as they encounter challenges this year.
We invite you to be a continued part of helping us grow and improve, as you are all
critical members of our community. Please share your voices and feedback with us so
that we can have the best school year DSST:GVR middle school has ever seen!
We can’t wait to see you next week at Back to School Night.

Queridas familias de DSST
Estamos muy contentos de comenzar este Nuevo año con su estudiante, desde ahorita podemos anticipar que será un año de mucho crecimiento. Con la experiencia de
los asesores, la calidad de los salones y sus experiencias después de la escuela, esperamos tener la oportunidad de celebrar a cada estudiante por sus características
individuales y darles la oportunidad de crecer juntos. Nuestro tema este año es:
“Busca tu verdad, verse a sí mismo, crece partir de tu fortaleza” estas palabras servirán de guía en el trabajo que realizaremos.
Queremos mejorar como escuela de tal manera que analizaremos y veremos nuestras
propias verdades desde múltiples perspectivas, si nos vemos en esas verdades sabremos el papel que estamos jugando, y luego creceremos a nuestras fortalezas para
hacer frente a cualquier cosa en la que queremos mejorar. Hemos presentado este
tema a los estudiantes durante esta semana, y les pedimos que traten de usar este
tema para que los ayude resolver nuevos desafíos este año.
Te invitamos a ser parte permanente en ayudar y mejorar nuestra comunidad, ya que
son todos los miembros críticos de nuestra comunidad. Por favor comparta sus voces y
comentarios con nosotros para que podamos tener el mejor año de la escuela DSST :
GVR.
