Leadership is Action, not Position
A well-known saying goes something like this: “A leader leads by example, whether he intends to or not.” Of the many employees working for L.G. Everist, Inc. at our plants and yards, leaders have developed
naturally and not by appointment.
The Mountain Division has decided to recognize these
natural leaders and encourage and train them for more
management and operational responsibilities now and in
the future. Along with their current responsibilities, these
individuals will also carry the title of “Leadman.” The
Leadman will be responsible for training and instructing
others along with equipment and maintenance scheduling
of his or her area of responsibility.
The Leadman title can be applied to any person in any
operational subsection of our plants and yards. Candidates
must work safely, show a strong work ethic, natural
leadership abilities, a willingness to learn, and the desire
to take on more responsibility.
Congratulations to our first Leadman position in the
Mountain Division: Samuel Covarrubias. Sammy will
be the Wash Plant Leadman at our Fort Lupton plant and
will provide much-needed support for Plant Manager Jim
Thompson and Assistant Plant Manager Colin Taylor.

El Liderazgo es Acción, no Posición
Un dicho muy conocido es algo como esto: “Un líder predica con el ejemplo, si pretende o no.”
De los muchos empleados que trabajan para L.G. Everist, Inc. en nuestras plantas y patios, los líderes han
desarrollado de forma natural y no por designación.
La División de Montaña ha decidido reconocer estos
líderes naturales y fomentar y capacitarlos para más
responsabilidades de gestión y operacionales, ahora y
en el futuro. Junto con sus responsabilidades actuales,
estas personas también se llevan el título de “Leadman.”
El Leadman será responsable de la formación y el
instruir a otros junto con el equipo y la programación del
mantenimiento de su área de responsabilidad.
El título Leadman se puede aplicar a cualquier persona en
cualquier inciso operacional de nuestras plantas y patios.
Los candidatos deben trabajar con seguridad, muestran
una fuerte ética de trabajo, habilidades naturales de
liderazgo, la voluntad de aprender, y el deseo de asumir
más responsabilidad.
Felicidades a nuestra primera posición Leadman en la
División de Montaña: Samuel Covarrubias. Sammy será
la Wash Plant Leadman en nuestra planta de Fort Lupton
y proporcionará un apoyo muy necesario para el Gerente
de Planta de Jim Thompson y Gerente de Planta Asistente
Colin Taylor.
