JULY—SEPTEMBER 2013
Summer break is over
and now it is time to
come back to school to
continue the studying of
God’s Word. The students were thankful for
the opportunity to visit
their family and friends
during this summer
break.
Willie Alvarenga
I am sure that each of
them are happy to return to school and
continue growing in the knowledge of
God’s Holy Word!
The workload at Brown Trail is no easy
task. Each of the students have to work
diligently during each quarter they study.
The spiritual preparation they are going
through involves hard work. During this
quarter, each of the students will prepare
several sermon outlines, memorize one
complete letter of the New Testament (2
Thessalonians), read several books, read
twice several books of the Bible, prepare
several research papers, and more. All of
these assignments have the purpose of
equipping the students to be diligent students and proclaimers of God’s Word.
We thank each of you for keeping our students in your prayers. There is not a single
day that passes by in our chapel services
that the students do not pray for you. They
have you in their hearts and prayers each
day. They are thankful to their supporters
for the great blessing of being able to study
on a full time basis. They are willing to go
through a lot of sacrifices just to receive
the knowledge that will equip them to
serve the Lord in His kingdom.
We are proud of our students and the hard
work they put into their studies. Each time
I hear them preach in chapel I can see a
great improvement in their lives. They are
indeed working hard to be “Men of the
Book.” We pray God’s richest blessings
upon each of them. We are confident that
the church will be in good hands through
their faithful service in the kingdom.
Brethren, if you are not supporting the
school of preaching, we beg you to please
consider doing that. A school of this magnitude cannot go on unless we have faithful congregations sending support so students can be here studying God’s Word.
We are confident that you can support a
student with any amount possible. $5, 10,
20, 50 or 100 can make a difference in the
lives of these students. $20 can provide
several meals for the week (e.g. milk,
bread, eggs, etc.) Please consider supporting with a one-time donation or a monthly
one. Your support will be greatly appreciated and will not go in vain. Let us remember that the Lord is not unjust to forget the
good work we do for Him and for the
saints (Hebrews 6:10).
Please give us an opportunity to do a
school presentation at your congregation.
We are confident that the church where
you meet will be encouraged to learn
about the good work that is taking place at
Brown Trail School of Preaching.
We still have several students right now
who do not have their full support yet.
These students are making a great sacrifice and stand in need of our help. We also
have at least 5 new students who want to
begin their studies in January of 2014.
Please help us bring them onboard so they
can receive quality of training that will
help them to be effective preachers of the
gospel of Christ.
Please give us a call and we will be more
than happy to tell you about their plans.
We will also be happy to visit the congregation with any of these students so you
can get to meet them. We hope and pray
that you will prayerfully consider this noble petition of supporting a gospel preacher who will reach out to a lost and dying
world not only here in the states, but also
in other parts of the world.
BROWN TRAIL SCHOOL OF PREACHING SPANISH DEPARTMENT
STUDENTS ATTENDED THE SEVENTH
ANNUAL BACK TO THE BIBLE LECTURES
We really stand in need of individual Christians who can
help us cover the expenses related to this lectureship.
Our budget only covers a small portion that we give to
the speakers. If you would, please help us if you can. We
would love for this Spanish lectureship to continue for
many years. We strongly believe this lectureship is making a positive impact in the lives of many. Our attendance
which is always in the 200 reflects the interest many
have in studying God’s Word with us.
COURSES FOR JULY THROUGH SEPTEMBER
The following courses are being studied by each of the
students during this new quarter: History of Israel I & II,
Luke, Evangelism, World Religions, the New Testament
Church, I & II Thessalonians, and Hermeneutics. We
trust that each of these courses will equip our students to
be diligent preachers of God’s Word.
What a great opportunity it was for our students to attend the seventh annual Back to the Bible lectures. Each
year we encourage our students to attend this lectureship
which takes place in the facilities of the Pleasant Grove
church of Christ. Brother Albert Serna, a 2002 BTSOP
graduate serves as the local Spanish preacher and director of this lectureship. The students enjoy the opportunity to be taught at the feet of faithful gospel preachers.
There was a great attendance during these lectures. The
lectureship book can be downloaded for free from my
personal website: www.regresandoalabiblia.com The topic was, “Morals in an Immoral World.”
SPANISH AND ENGLISH INTERNET RADIO
PROGRAM
We are happy to inform you that several lessons are being broadcasted every day through our radio internet station: www.btradio.net More than 20 countries are listening to the gospel being preached by sound brethren in the
faith. To be exact, more than 32 countries are listening to
the lessons in English, and 23 are hearing the gospel being preached in Spanish. We are thankful to God for this
great opportunity to share the good news of salvation.
Jesus said to go into all the world and preach the gospel
to every creature (Mark 16:15). Thanks to the internet, we

BTSOPSD PUBLICATION
“INSTRUCTING THE BROTHERHOOD”
For seven years I have been privileged to be the editor of
our bimonthly Spanish publication entitled, “Instructing
the Brotherhood.” This publication consist of 12-pages of
sound articles written by faithful gospel preachers. Due to
a lack of funds, I am only able to make this publication
available
through the internet on
a PDF file format. I try
to promote this publication
through
the
school's website, as well
as mine. I also use Facebook to make it available. People from several
countries have emailed
me about how this publication is making a difference in their lives.
Several doctrinal, as
well as practical lessons
are being taught through “Instructing the Brotherhood.”
Please keep me in your prayers as I plan to continue this
publication for many years.
GRADUATION AT BROWN TRAIL
DECEMBER 2013
The Lord willing, we are planning on graduating seven
students from the Spanish department and three from
the English. Several of our students will be going back to
Mexico to preach the gospel there. We ask that you please
keep them in your prayers as they are getting ready to
begin a life of service in the kingdom of God.
Please write or call us for more information about the
Brown Trail School of Preaching Spanish Department. We will be more than glad to talk to you about
our efforts. Remember, without your prayers and financial support, the School cannot continue to train
faithful book, chapter and verse kind of preachers.
