Converse in Spanish using complex language.
TASK: Your best friend has come to you for advice about whether to get a job or go
to university when he or she leaves school. Your teacher will play your friend’s part.

INSTRUCTIONS
Preparing for your conversation:
• Read the instructions carefully. Make sure that you understand what you need to do.
• You can use any of the course materials to prepare for your conversation.
• The preparation must be all your own work.
• Use a wide variety of vocabulary. Avoid repetition.
• Use a variety of structures up to and including level 8 of the Spanish curriculum.
• Develop one or more of your points as fully as possible.
• You must speak for about two minutes.
• You may not use cue cards or notes during the conversation.
During your Conversation:
• Speak clearly, slowly and loud enough to be well understood.
• Your contribution must be about two minutes although quality is more important
than quantity.
• Your conversation will be recorded.
• The order of speakers will be established by ballot on the day. All must be
performance –ready on the date set.

below) as well as language from Curriculum Level 8.
