WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR
Welcome to the 2015-16 CCS school year! We are pleased to have all our new and returning students and their families here for
an exciting year filled with expectation and anticipation. The 2015-16 school theme is Walking in Truth. I trust that each person
at CCS will grow in the Truth found in God’s Word and intentionally apply it to every aspect of life. The CCS faculty and staff
are here to help you have a great year and we look forward to a cooperative effort towards that end. John R. Cook

Carachipampa is blessed to have a professionally trained, Christian staff to offer the best education possible in preparing our
students for this present life and eternity to come. Toward this goal each staff members is committed to “educate for eternity.”

ANNUAL SCHOOL BARBECUE – 5 SEPTEMBER
Please mark the annual CCS School Barbecue on your calendar now. It will be on Saturday, 5th of September beginning at 12:00
Noon. A letter with details is being sent with this Chatter. Please return the BBQ slip with any money due by Tuesday (Sept.
1st). We welcome you to join us for this kick-off event to the school year.
PLEASE PAY TUITION IN THE FINANCE OFFICE
Mr. Mario Bustillos is available daily in the finance office to receive school fees, issue receipts and facturas and to answer your
questions regarding your bills. If you wish to make your payment directly to the school bank account in the USA, please call
Mario who can give you the details necessary. Remember that if you are paying monthly, the due date is the 10 th of the month. If
you pay by semester, there will be a 3% discount if the whole semester is paid by the 31 st of August.
THE SCHOOL CALENDAR
All families should have received a school calendar in their registration packet. We ask you to keep the calendar where you can
refer to it frequently and also note the important dates listed on it for this semester. The school calendar and other important
events are also posted on the school website (www.carachipampa.org).
CCS PHONE CHAIN IS READY
The CCS Phone Chain has been prepared to help us contact you in the rare case that we must cancel class due to paros or road
blocks. We need your current phone numbers on file. If you have recently changed numbers, please call the school office to
update your contact information. Please take note of the following regarding cancelation of classes…



Always assume that there will be school unless you receive a call from a CCS staff member. In cases where we must
cancel school, you will be called.
Students may be asked to take all school books home so that work can be assigned through the Carachipampa website if
classes need to be cancelled.

SCHOOL UNIFORM
The school now has three vendors for uniforms. We have allowed a grace period due to the delays. Please seek the services of
our vendors and make sure your children are in uniform as soon as possible. Remember that CCS hoodies or jackets are part of
the official CCS uniform. We will expect everyone to be in the full uniform by Monday (31 August). After this date anyone out
of uniform will need a note from home.
BUS NOTICES
If a student who normally rides the school bus wants to ride a different bus home, they must have a signed notice from the parent
giving them permission to do so. Without a written notice, no changes will be allowed. A telephone call by a parent is not
sufficient to allow their child to change their transportation. Written notices to change busses must be presented to the school
office by 10:00am.
If you need to communicate with the bus drivers for any reason regarding the bussing, you may call the bus service secretary at
759-92916 or 437-9938 during normal office hours 8:00-11:15 AM. Please do not hesitate to call the bussing service if you have
any questions or concerns.
Students who do NOT normally ride the bus, may use the bus service in one direction for a fee of Bs 12.00 (if there is room on
the desired bus). This must be paid directly to the driver of the bus. Students must have a signed notice from a parent giving
them permission to ride the bus.
INDEPENDENT STUDY AND AP COURSE OPTIONS
Students in Grades 11 and 12 may, with special approval, take Independent Study classes including AP courses where they may
possibly earn university credit while still in high school.
As a part of NICS, our students can enroll in NorthStar Academy courses at a discounted rate. All costs of Independent online
classes whether through NorthStar or another provider are the responsibility of the family.
Students who desire to take an independent course should see Mr. Scoggan or Mr. Cook as soon as possible.

INSURANCE NOTICE
We remind all families that they must have accident insurance for their children. If your children are part of your family health
policy, please present a copy of their insurance carnet to the office. If your children are not currently covered through a family or
company policy, the family may purchase insurance coverage at a reasonable cost through the school’s approved provider,
Alianza . Please call Mario in the office soon to sign up your children.
CHARGES FOR PRINTING
Students should do all their printing for school papers on their own printer at home. If a student must use a school printer, a fee
of 50 centavos (per side) will be charged. Students must pay this before collecting their papers from the printer.
THE SCHOOL DAY BEGINS AT 8.15AM
Our school day begins at 8.15 am. We know that morning traffic is often heavy, but that will not be accepted as an excuse for
arriving late. Make sure that your ride to school leaves at a time early enough to arrive by 8.00 so that your child can be
physically in class by 8.15. Students who arrive later than 8.15 must first report to the secretary to receive a late admittance pass.
Students who receive more than 3 late slips in a semester (5 in ES) they will be given school discipline.
DROP OFF AND PICK UP PROCEDURES FOR PARENTS
Parents may only pick up and drop off their children in the area between the Ruby Miller Building and the offices. Parents
should not walk with their children all the way to their classrooms. Parents who come to pick up children at any time should
report to the office area first. They should wait in the office or around the Gym entrance until their child is brought by a CCS
staff member.
Please know that the back entrance to the school grounds is only for our school buses. Students who do not ride the school
buses may only enter or leave the campus through the front gate. Parents who bring their children in their own vehicle or by taxi
must drop off their children at the front gate.
We remind families that to enhance the security of our campus, all guests must receive a Visitor’s Pass from our guard and sign in
at the office with the secretary. Thank you.

MENSAJE DE BIENVENIDA DEL DIRECTOR
Bienvenidos al año escolar 2015-16 de colegio Carachipampa! Estamos contentos de recibir a todos nuestros nuevos y antiguos
estudiantes y sus familias por un año emocionante lleno de expectativas y anticipación. El tema para este año será Caminando en
la Verdad. Confío en que cada persona que forma parte del colegio Carachipampa crecerá en la Verdad encontrada en la Palabra
de Dios e intencionalmente aplicará a todos los aspectos de su vida. La facultad CCS y el personal están aquí para ayudarte a
tener un gran año y esperamos un esfuerzo de colaboración hacia ese fin. John R. Cook

PARRILLADA ANUAL – 5 DE SEPTIEMBRE
Por favor, tome nota y marque en su calendario la Parrillada anual del colegio. Será el sábado, 5 de septiembre a partir de las
12:00 del mediodía. Una carta con más detalles está incluido con este Chatter. Por favor devuelva el formulario para la parrillada
incluyendo cualquier dinero debido antes del martes (01 de septiembre). Damos a todos una cordial invitación de unirse a este
primer evento especial.
POR FAVOR CANCELE PENSIONES EN LA OFICINA DE FINANZAS
Sr. Mario Bustillos está disponible todos los días en la oficina de finanzas para recibir las cuotas escolares, emitir recibos y
facturas y responder sus preguntas con respecto a sus cuentas. Si usted desea hacer su pago directamente a la cuenta bancaria de

de caminos. Necesitamos sus números de teléfono actuales. Si recientemente ha cambiado su número, por favor llame a la oficina
de la escuela para informarnos de los cambios. Por favor, tome nota de lo siguiente sobre la cancelación de clases...



Siempre asuma que habrá escuela a menos que reciba una llamada de un miembro del personal de CCS. En los casos en
que hay que cancelar las clases, siempre se le llamará.
Cuando se anticipa una cancelación de clases, a los estudiantes se les pedirá llevar todos sus libros a casa para poder
asignar trabajo escolar a través de la página web del colegio.

UNIFORME DEL COLEGIO
La escuela cuenta ahora con tres proveedores de uniformes. Hemos dado un período de gracia debido a los retrasos. Por favor,
busque los servicios de nuestros proveedores y asegurase de que sus hijos estén uniformados lo más pronto posible. Recuerde que
las sudaderas con capucha de CCS o chaquetas son también parte del uniforme oficial del colegio. Esperamos que todos estén con
el uniforme completo hasta el lunes (31 de agosto). Después de esta fecha cualquiera estudiante sin uniforme deberá traer una
nota de explicación escrita y firmado por sus padres.
ANUNCIO DE LOS BUSES.
En caso de que un alumno desee utilizar un bus diferente, o desea ir a casa con otro alumno en un taxi o auto particular, ellos
deben traer una nota firmada por sus padres autorizando este cambio. No se aceptarán cambios sin esta nota escrita. No será
suficiente una llamada telefónica para hacer el cambio de buses. Las notas escritas para hacer los cambios de buses deben
presentarlas al supervisor de los buses hasta las 10:00 a.m.
Si desea comunicarse con alguno de los conductores, contáctese con la oficina de Transporte Escolar CCS: 759 92916 o 437-9938
de horas 8:00 am hasta las 11:15 am. Por favor no tenga ningún problema para llamar al servicio de buses si tiene preguntas o
quejas.
Los estudiantes que normalmente no toman el autobús, pueden utilizar este servicio en una dirección por un costo de Bs 12.00.
Esto se debe cancelar directamente al conductor del autobús y el estudiante debe tener una nota firmada por sus padres que le
autoriza tomar el autobús.
ESTUDIOS INDEPENDIENTES Y CURSOS AP
Los estudiantes de los grados 11 y 12 pueden, con una aprobación especial, tomar clases de estudio independiente que incluye
cursos de AP en el que posiblemente pueden obtener créditos universitarios mientras están en la escuela.
Como parte del NICS, nuestros estudiantes pueden inscribirse en cursos de la Academia Northstar a un precio reducido. Todos los
costos de clases independientes en línea ya sea a través de NorthStar u otro proveedor son responsabilidad de la familia.
Los estudiantes que desean tomar un curso independiente deben acercarse a la oficina del Sr. Scoggan o el Sr. Cook, tan pronto

Recordamos a todas las familias que deben tener un seguro de accidentes para sus hijos. Si sus hijos son parte de su seguro
personal de salud, favor deben presentar una copia del carnet de seguro a la oficina. Si sus hijos no están cubiertos actualmente
por un seguro, la familia puede adquirir un seguro a un costo razonable a través del proveedor aprobado de la escuela, Alianza.
Por favor llame a Mario a la brevedad posible para inscribir a sus hijos en el seguro del colegio.
EL INICIO DEL DIA ESCOLAR ES 8:15 EN PUNTO
Nuestro día escolar comienza a las 8:15 en punto. Sabemos que el tráfico de la mañana suele ser pesado, pero esto no será
aceptado como excusa para llegar tarde. Asegúrese de salir con tiempo de la casa para llegar suficientemente temprano y dejar su
hijo en el colegio a las 8:00 y de esa manera su hijo pueda estar físicamente en su clase a las 8:15. Los estudiantes que lleguen
más tarde de 8.15 deberán primero reportarse a secretaria y recibir un pase de admisión tarde. Los estudiantes que reciban más de
3 llamadas de atención por retrasos en un semestre (5 en primaria) se les castigará con una disciplina escolar.
LLEGADA Y RECOJO DE LOS ESTUDIANTES
Les pedimos a los padres de familia que solamente deben dejar y recoger a sus hijos del área entre la biblioteca (Edificio Ruby
Miller) y las oficinas. Por favor no acompañen a sus hijos hasta los cursos. De la misma manera, padre de familia que, por
cualquier motivo, tenga que recoger a su hijo antes de la finalización de clases debe esperar en la oficina. Algún personero de
CCS se encargará de llamar a su hijo.
Por favor ustedes deben saber que la puerta trasera del colegio es sólo para uso de nuestros autobuses escolares. Los estudiantes
que no tomen el servicio de bus sólo pueden entrar o salir de la escuela por la puerta principal. Los padres que traen a sus hijos en
su propio vehículo o en taxi deben dejarlos en la puerta principal.
Les recordamos que, con el propósito de mejorar la seguridad en nuestro establecimiento, toda persona que nos visite tiene que
obtener el Pase de Visitante del puesto del guardia de seguridad, luego registrarse en secretaría. Gracias.
