HISTORY OF CEREMONIAL AND ETIQUETTE IN SEVILLA`S TOWN COUNCIL

Resumen: Son diversas las crónicas en las que se narran las importantes ceremonias que
tuvieron lugar en Sevilla a lo largo de la historia. En todas ellas, la participación del
cabildo municipal ha jugado un papel fundamental, tanto que muchas de ellas fueron
sufragadas en gastos por la corporación. Bajo este título tan general, esta comunicación
pretende hacer un análisis de los trajes e insignias que lucieron los capitulares en las
distintas épocas y ceremonias, así como su evolución desde el siglo XVI hasta la
actualidad.
Abstract: Along the history there are several chronics where important ceremonies takes
place in Seville are narrated. In all of them, the participation of local council has played
a key role and so often several of those ceremonies were paid by local council. Under
this general title, this paper claim to analyze costumes and emblems at different times
and ceremonies, and its evolution from the sixteenth century to the present.
