Important Meeting
All parents and community members are encouraged to participate in our School Site Council.
The School Site Council helps monitor the implementation of our Single Plan for Student Achievement
(SPSA), helps evaluate the effectiveness of the allocation of resources, and provides additional input in the
modification of the SPSA.
Agenda:
1.
Welcome and Introductions-Our President, Laura Gutile, welcomed all to the meeting.
Present at the meeting: Laura Gutile, Laura Toney, Robin Reitz, Paula Hill, Carsten
Christiansen, Dolly Rubalcaba, Connie Kampschmidt. We have a quorum.
2.
Call to Order-Our meeting was called to order at 2:55 p.m.

Adoption of the Agenda-Mrs. Kampschmidt moved to adopt our agenda. Mrs. Reitz seconded the
adoption of our agenda. All present were in favor of adopting our agenda for the meeting.

Reading and Approval of Minutes from last meeting-Minutes from the last meeting were read.
Mrs. Hill moved to accept our minutes and Mrs. Reitz seconded that motion. All present were in
favor of approving our minutes from the last meeting.

Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA)-Mr. Christiansen highlighted information
from our SPSA. He gave a detailed overview of the SPSA. An actual SPSA document was
provided to each member present to allow them to follow along and ask questions.
i. Request vote to approve SPSA-Mrs. Gutile asked for a motion to approve our
SPSA. Mrs. Reitz moved to approve our SPSA for the upcoming school year. Mrs.
Rubalcaba seconded the motion. All members present at our SSC meeting agreed to
approve our SPSA.
Share - categorical spending report from 2011/2012 school year. -Mr. Christiansen shared
the actual spending as of 5/2012 compared with what was budgeted for this school year.
i. Request vote to approve-Mrs. Gutile asked for a motion to approve the review of the
planned spending vs. actual spending. Mrs. Hill moved to approve the 11/12 budget
as it was spent this year. Mrs. Reitz seconded that motion. All present were in favor.
Staffing update-Mr. Christiansen shared that Mrs. Santoro is moving to fifth grade and will
move into room 23. Mrs. Hill will be moving into the kinder room 3, and our empty room will
now be room 22.

Reports
a. Alternative Governance Report-Mr. Christiansen shared some of the feedback of his final
DAR presentation this month.
b. Third quarter progress report-It was shared that from the DAR presentation, most grades
have shown positive growth in ELA and math.
9.
Announcements-It was announced that Mrs. Gutile has just presided over her last Alpha School
Site Council Meeting. We will miss her. Mr. Christiansen thanked all teachers and parents for
serving this year.

Next Meeting - Tentative date set - Sept 21, 2012, 2:45 p.m.

Importante reunión
Todos los padres y miembros de la comunidad están invitados a participar en nuestro Consejo
Escolar.
El Consejo Escolar ayuda a monitorear la implementación de nuestro Plan Único para el
Aprovechamiento del Estudiante (SPSA), ayuda a evaluar la eficacia de la asignación de
recursos, y proporciona información adicional en la modificación del Plan escolar.
Agenda:
1. Bienvenida y presentaciones-Nuestro presidente, Laura Gutile, dio la bienvenida a todos a la
reunión.
Presente en la reunión: Laura Gutile, Toney Laura, Reitz Robin, Hill Paula, Carsten
Christiansen, Rubalcaba Dolly, Kampschmidt Connie. Contamos con un quórum.
2. Llamada al orden-Nuestra reunión fue llamada al orden a las 2:55 pm
3. Aprobación del programa-Sra. Kampschmidt trasladó a adoptar nuestra agenda. Sra. Reitz
apoyó la aprobación de nuestra agenda. Todos los presentes se mostraron a favor de la
adopción de la agenda para la reunión.
4. Public Input-Ninguno
5. Lectura y aprobación del acta de la última reunión de minutos de la última reunión fueron
leídas. La señora Hill se mudó a aceptar nuestros minutos y la Sra. Reitz secundó la moción.
Todos los presentes se mostraron a favor de la aprobación de nuestros minutos desde la última
reunión.
6. Nuevos Negocios
una. Plan Único para el Aprovechamiento del Estudiante (SPSA)-Sr. Christiansen destacó la
información de nuestro SPSA. Dio una descripción detallada de la SPSA. El actual documento
SPSA se proporcionó a cada miembro presente para que puedan seguir adelante y hacer
preguntas.
i. Solicitar votar para aprobar SPSA-Sra. Gutile pidió una moción para aprobar nuestro Plan
escolar. Sra. Reitz propuso aprobar nuestro Plan escolar para el próximo año escolar. Sra.
Rubalcaba apoyó la moción. Todos los miembros presentes en la reunión SSC acordó aprobar
nuestro Plan escolar.
b. Compartir - Reporte de gastos categórico de 2011/2012 año escolar. -Sr. Christiansen
compartió el gasto real al 5/2012, en comparación con lo presupuestado para este año escolar.
i. Solicitar votar para aprobar la señora-. Gutile pidió una moción para aprobar el examen de
los gastos previstos frente a los gastos reales. La señora Hill moción de aprobar el presupuesto

c. Personal update-Mr. Christiansen compartida de que la señora Santoro se está moviendo a
quinto grado y se trasladará a la habitación 23. La señora Hill se trasladará a la sala de kinder
3, y nuestra habitación vacía ahora será de 22 habitaciones.

una. Alternativa de Gobierno Corporativo-Mr. Christiansen compartido algunos de los
comentarios de su presentación DAR final este mes.
b. Tercer informe-It progreso trimestre fue compartido que a partir de la presentación DAR,
la mayoría de los grados han mostrado un crecimiento positivo en ELA y matemáticas.
9. Anuncios-Se anunció que la señora Gutile ha presidido su última Escuela Alfa Reunión del
Concilio. La vamos a extrañar. Sr. Christiansen dio las gracias a todos los maestros y padres
de familia para servir a este año.
