Mountain Mechanics
L.G. Everist sites operate at a very high level of safety, productivity, and compliance due in great part to the dedication and skill of our
mechanics and oilers. Our mechanics perform preventative maintenance to keep down-times short, costs low, and safety a top priority. In
fact, these mechanics and oilers have almost 67 years total with L.G. Everist, and it’s been 10 years since the last injury.
Pat Hollenbeck (18 yrs) maintains the Mountain
Division’s Transload sites. He is stationed at 88th
Avenue and travels to Kelker and Carr when needed.
Pat maintains the switch locomotive, silos, and
baghouses to keep them operating smoothly. His
maintenance ensures that the frac sand, lime, and
flyash will flow into silos and trucks, and the dust
stays trapped in the systems.
Gregory “Slack” Trevino (1.5 yrs) has been a
mechanic for 34 years, and now helps maintain the
LGE plants and rolling stock along with Tony and
Jake. With so much computerization in equipment
these days, it requires a diagnostic code to determine
where the problem may be, then Slack and the others
can get to the job of fixing it.
Tony Cottrell (14 yrs) and Jake Warner (10.5 yrs), work throughout the Mountain Division mine sites. They
do everything from building new plants (Jake built much of the new Firestone plants), adding equipment to
existing plants (Tony installed hi-fi sand screens and replaced a main screen on the wash plant), to rebuilding
and maintaining mobile equipment (Tony and Jake recently rebuilt the undercarriage and tracks of our 336D
Excavator).
Eric McCoy (15 yrs) started as a driver and has
hauled more LGE metal around Colorado than
anyone else. Now he also maintains and repairs
all the over-the-road haul trucks that make up our
Mountain fleet. He recently repaired a Godwin
pump that everyone else thought was a casualty of
the 2013 floods.
Samuel Covarrubias (6.5 yrs) maintains the Fort
Lupton plants - changing screens, bearings, splicing
belts, and replacing wear parts.
Jake Jones (9 mon) is our new oiler, greasing the
Fort Lupton stationary and portable plants daily. He
also changes oil on rolling stock. Samuel and Jake
help the other mechanics whenever needed.
Matthew Bossard (4.5 mon) has been a mechanic
for 18 years, and takes care of the Firestone
processing plants and mobile equipment, with help
from Anthony Vitt, the plant operator. They will
be reconfiguring the main plants this fall – moving
the cone crusher from the dry to the wet plant,
adding conveyors, and prepping the site for portable
crushing and a batch plant.
Everyone above does a lot more than we have room for here –
and get support from Maintenance Manager Sam Haddan, site
supervisors, and co-workers who jump in to lend a hand when
needed. It takes a team to keep the Rock Solid LGE machine
running! Thank you to everyone!

Mecánica Montaña
L.G. Sitios Everist operan a un nivel muy alto de seguridad, la productividad y el cumplimiento debido en gran parte a la dedicación y habilidad
de nuestros mecánicos y aceiteras. Nuestros mecánicos realizan mantenimiento preventivo para mantener los tiempos de inactividad cortos,
costos bajos, y la seguridad una prioridad. De hecho, estos mecánicos y aceiteras tienen casi 67 años con total de LG Everist, y han pasado 10
años desde la última lesión.
Pat Hollenbeck (18 años) mantiene sitios Transload
de la División de Montaña. Él está estacionado en
88a Avenida y viaja a Kelker y Carr cuando sea
necesario. Pat mantiene el interruptor locomotora,
silos, y casas de bolsas para mantenerlos funcionando
sin problemas. Su mantenimiento se asegura de que
la arena frac, cal y cenizas volantes fluirán en silos y
camiones, y el polvo queda atrapado en los sistemas.

de Montaña. Lo hacen todo, desde la construccion de nuevas plantas (Jake construyo gran parte de las nuevas
plantas de Firestone), anadiendo equipos a las instalaciones existentes (Tony instalado pantallas de arena de alta
fidelidad y reemplazado una pantalla principal en la planta de lavado), a la reconstruccion y el mantenimiento
de equipos moviles (Tony y Jake recientemente reconstruido el tren de aterrizaje y pistas de nuestra 336D
excavadora).

mecánicos siempre que sea necesario.

proceso por lotes.
Todo el mundo por encima de hace mucho más de lo que tenemos espacio
para aquí - y conseguir el apoyo de Gerente de Mantenimiento Sam
Haddan, supervisores de obra, y los compañeros de trabajo que saltan en
echar una mano cuando sea necesario. Se necesita un equipo para mantener
la Roca Sólida LGE máquina en marcha! ¡Gracias a todos!
