The YMCA Youth & Government program gives high school students the
opportunity to learn first-hand about civic issues by taking an active role in the
democratic process, boosting youth development, and contributing to a stronger
community. By taking on the roles of legislators and civic leaders, participants
benefit from knowledge gained and enhanced self confidence, further boosting
their development as individuals and leaders.
El programa de la YMCA de la Juventud y Gobierno da a los estudiantes de
secundaria la oportunidad de aprender de primera mano sobre temas cívicos
tomando un papel activo en el proceso democrático , impulsar el desarrollo de los
jóvenes y contribuir a una comunidad más fuerte . Al asumir las funciones de los
órganos legislativos y líderes cívicos , los participantes se benefician de los
conocimientos adquiridos y la mayor confianza de uno mismo , incrementando
aún más su desarrollo como personas y líderes .
