The New York State Board of Regents took emergency action and
amended Section 100.2(y) of the Commissioner's Regulations,
effective immediately. Specifically, the amendment requires
that, upon a request for enrollment of a student, the student
must be enrolled and begin attendance on the next school day, or
as soon as is practicable. Within three business days of such
initial enrollment, the district must review all submitted
documentation and make a determination as to the student's
entitlement to attend district schools in accordance with the
procedures set forth herein.

La Junta de regentes del estado de Nueva York tomaron medidas de emergencia y
modificada sección 100.2(y) del Reglamento de la Comisaria, efectivo inmediatamente.
En concreto, la enmienda requiere que, sobre una solicitud de inscripción de un
estudiante, el estudiante debe estar inscrito y comenzar la asistencia a la escuela al día
siguiente, o tan pronto como sea posible. Dentro de tres días hábiles de tal inscripción
inicial, el distrito debe revisar toda la documentación presentada y tomar una
determinación sobre el derecho del estudiante a asistir a las escuelas del distrito con
arreglo a los procedimientos previstos en el presente.
