 Reflexión de Navidad del Padre Bert Fr. Bert’s Christmas Reflec on Dear Parishioners and Visitors to St. Stephen: May the Grace and Peace of the Christ Child be yours this Holy Season. Advent has been a me of an cipa ng this joyous occasion. We have been watching and wai ng vigilantly for the Coming of our Savior. He has come and comes again into our hearts and homes to greet and encourage us. In a season of darkness and cold he brings his light and warmth. Some day He will come yet again and, meanwhile, we live in His Hope and Life. This Advent we have experienced the acute pain of violence and death in our world. Even so, the Christ Child says don’t give up, stay strong, keep the faith. He reveals the good around us too; all those bright lights, decora ons, Christmas music, and unending acts of charity and good will. In the midst of this hurt and loss, he proclaims life and gain. My brothers and sisters, let’s keep the focus on our Redeemer, the true “Reason for the Season.” May our children see in us not fear and uncertainty, but gladness and celebra on. We have so much to be thankful for: Why not name our blessings and give gra tude to God!? I thank God for all of you, and for all the graces showered upon St. Stephen Parish and School. May the Baby Jesus be with and protect you and yours this Christmas Season and in the New Year. Blessings, and Prayers, Fr. Bert Queridos feligreses y visitantes de San Esteban, Que la gracia y la paz del Niño Jesucristo este con ustedes esta Santa temporada. Este empo de Adviento ha sido un empo lleno de felicidad en esta an cipación. Hemos estado observando y esperando vigilando la venida de nuestro Salvador. El ha venido y viene de nuevo en nuestros corazones y hogares para saludar y darnos animo. En esta temporada de oscuridad y frio, El trae luz y Su calor. Algún día vendrá de nuevo y, mientras tanto, vivimos en Su Esperanza y Vida. Este Adviento hemos vivido el dolor agudo de la violencia y muerte en nuestro mundo. Aun así, el Niño Jesús dice que no nos rindamos, nos mantengamos fuertes y fieles a nuestra fe. El revela lo bueno en nuestros alrededores. Todas las luces brillantes, decoraciones y música navideña, y actos interminables de caridad y buenas voluntad. En medio de este dolor y perdida, El proclama la vida y lo bueno. Mis hermanos y hermanas, vamos a mantener el enfoque en nuestro Redentor, la verdadera “Razón de la Esta Temporada.” Que nuestros hijos vean en nosotros alegría y celebración. Tenemos mucho de que estar agradecidos. ¿Por qué no enfocarnos en las bendiciones y dar gracias a Dios!? En lo personal, doy gracias a Dios por todos ustedes y por todas las bendiciones derramadas sobre la Parroquia y Escuela San Esteban.
