Description
Designed to solve the requirements for communication between devices of diverse manufacturers, each with different communication protocols,
speeds and standards. Having available only one
port.
The module SYS-1600 has 16 serial ports RS-232,
depending on the application, it can integrate an
Ethernet port at 10 Mbps or optical fiber for the
link to the LAN network of the electrical substation. Once linked, the SYS-1600 by commands,
takes care of selecting any of the 16 RS-232 ports
of local communication.
It is possible to assign to each port one speed and
configure a different format according to the requirements of the connected device at each port.
In this way, SYS-1600 acts as a buffer storing the
data while it is transmitted in case there is any difference between the transmission speed and the
device being configured.
This equipment works with a software that runs on
Windows and administers the functioning of one
or several SYS-1600. In this way the whole system
acts as a transparent port, that is, that it is possible
to execute an application of the equipment and this
software will behave as if the remote device were
connected directly to the physical port of the PC.

Characteristics
• Provides communication between a local computer and
up to 16 devices located at a remote substation, through
Internet or the internal network of the company.
• Each port of the SYS-1600 has a RTS and CTS signals for
the traffic control of the connected device.
• It has RJ-45 connectors at the back for connecting devices.
• The power source works from 85 up to 240 VCA, or
from 120 to 240 VCD (it does not require change to work
at 110 or 120V).
