Let There be Peace on Earth …
Paz en la Tierra...
Today we remember with heavy hearts the terrorist
attacks on our country of September 11, 2001.
Con los corazones sentidos, hoy recordamos los ataques
terroristas en nuestro país del 11 de septiembre del 2001.
We continue to mourn the loss of
those who died, and we lament the
continued presence of violence in our
world, and in our own country as well.
Todavía lloramos la pérdida de los que
fallecieron, y lamentamos la violencia
que existe en nuestro mundo, y en
nuestro país.
We sing “let there be peace on earth,
and let it begin with me,” but what
does this mean?
La frase de una canción (en inglés)
dice “que haya paz en la tierra, y que
empiece conmigo,” pero, ¿qué quiere
decir eso?
I believe the lyrics of this song are
empty words unless each one of
us makes a commitment to prayer,
fasting and to personal conversion.

nosotros, haga un compromiso de rezar,
ayunar y a la conversión personal.
I believe that each one of us needs to
examine our lives and ask the Lord
to remove from our hearts every
form of prejudice, resentment, anger,
impatience, criticism and pride.

corazones toda forma de prejuicio,
resentimiento, rabia, impaciencia,

I believe that there will be peace
on earth only when each person
recognizes the dignity and value of
every human person created in the
image and likeness of God, and when we - in the words
of Pope Francis to the U.S. Congress - commit ourselves
to “protect and defend human life at every stage of its
development.”

alternating weeks per month.
• Sunday, 9am and 10:30am - Teams rotate on
alternate months.
