The Oddershede family from Hillerslev parish
The Chile branch of the Oddershede family.
The first person in the family to wear the surname Oddershede is Lars Peter Knudsen Oddershede,
who was born in 1824, death 1907.The source to following informations: Nordisk Slaegtsforskning
(Nordic genealogy) Skals 1980, Denmark.
From the above publication I know that Knud Andersen purchased Oddershedegaard (Oddershede
farm) in 1830. His son, Lars Peter Knudsen Oddershede (1824-1907), purchased Oddershedegaard
from his father in 1851.
In 1854 Lars Peter Knudsen Oddershede was given royal concession to the surname Oddershede.
Lars Peter Knudsen Oddershede sold Oddershedegaard to a buyer outside the family in 1888.
Lars Peter Knudsen Oddershede had 8 – eight! – children. One of those was
Anders Knudsen Larsen Oddershede, born November 15, 1856, death July 21, 1937. He was a
miller and owned the mill in Kjelstrup. He and his wife Christine Christensen had 10 – ten! –
children.
Two of those children emigrated from Denmark to Chile:
Kristian Knudsen Oddershede born November 14, 1881 in Kjelstrup, the parish Hillerslev. He died
maybe 1925 in Chile. He was married with Brunilda. They lived in Cumaco de Chile, Correo,
Chile. After the death of her husband, she married again 1926 with an agronom of some kind
Rigneros de Mayer. The surname of the children was then changed to Oddershede Rigneros.
Kristian (could be spelled Christian) was the father of three children:
Christina Oddershede Rigneros born around 1917.

Knud Knudsen Oddershede born March 19, 1883 in Kjelstrup, the parish of Hillerslev. He
emigrated from Denmark to Chile and was for many years employed at the cement works Melón.
His address in 1948 was: Quinta Cruz, La Calera Artificio, Chile.
Knud was married [no name of his wife is mentioned] and had 7 - seven! – children:
Leonora Oddershede born December 4, 1917. She is married.
Anders Oddershede was married February 19, 1948.
Viktor Oddershede born 1925. He was married September 6, 1947.
Lila Eva Oddershede is teacher.
Violetta Oddershede is teacher.
Hilda Oddershede.
Greta Oddershede born 1932.
