TRANSIT PASS
HOW TO OBTAIN A DAY PASS
The Day Pass will be issued from the farebox
onboard all Golden Gate Transit, Community Shuttle
or Stagecoach buses operating within Marin County.
1. Tell the driver that you’d like to purchase a Day Pass
and if you qualify for a discount fare.
2. Insert exact fare ($5 adults, $2.50 youth/senior/disabled)
into the farebox as usual, using the dollar bill and
coin slots.
3. The farebox will eject a magnetic striped card from
the slot on the top of the machine (see Figure 1).
This is your Day Pass.
4. Take the Pass and move into the bus. Passes do not
need to be swiped on your first ride on the bus.

The 7-day and 31-day Passes can be purchased
at several local vendors.

HOW TO USE A PASS
1. The new Passes need to be swiped through the
farebox each time you board the bus to travel within
Marin County.
2. THE FIRST TIME YOU USE THE PASS, “dip” your
Pass in the farebox so it will start the activation date
for your Pass (except for Day Passes). (See Figure 1.)
For all following trips, slide your Pass through the
diagonal slot located at the top right of the farebox
(see Figure 1) with the magnetic stripe facing you.
4. A BEEP will sound alerting you and the driver that
the Pass has been accepted.
5. A WARBLE will sound when a Pass is misread, invalid
or expired. If this happens, swipe again. If a second
WARBLE sounds, please pay the standard fare by
another means.
TRANSFERS
Since these passes provide unlimited trips in a given
time period, you no longer need to get transfers from
the driver. Simply swipe your pass every time you board
the bus. Passes cannot be used outside Marin County.

CÓMO OBTENER UN PASE DE UN DÍA
El Pase de un día será expedido por la caja recolectora
de tarifas a bordo en todos los autobuses de Golden
Gate Transit, Community Shuttle o Stagecoach que
operan en el condado de Marin.
1. Dígale al conductor que le gustaría comprar un
Pase de un día y si usted califica para una tarifa
con descuento.
2. Inserte la tarifa exacta ($5 adultos, $2.50
jóvenes/tercera edad/incapacitados) en la caja
como de costumbre, usando las ranuras para billetes
y monedas.
3. La caja expulsará una tarjeta con banda magnética
del dispensador de la parte de arriba de la máquina
(vea la Imagen 1). Este es su Pase de un día.
4. Tome el pase y entre al autobús. Los pases no
necesitan ser deslizados en su primer viaje de
autobús.
CÓMO OBTENER UN PASE DE 7 ó 31 DÍAS
Los Pases de 7 y 31 días pueden comprarse en varias
tiendas locales. Los costos son los siguientes:

CÓMO UTILIZAR UN PASE
1. Los nuevos pases necesitan ser deslizados en la
caja recolectora de tarifas cada vez que aborda el
autobús para viajar en el condado de Marin.
2. LA PRIMERA VEZ QUE UTILICE EL PASE, inserte
su pase en la caja recolectora de tarifas para que
se active la fecha de su Pase (excepto en Pases
de un día). (Ver Imagen 1.) En los siguientes viajes
deslice su pase en la ranura diagonal ubicada en
la parte superior derecha de la caja recolectora de
tarifas (ver Imagen 1) con la cinta magnética de
frente a usted.
4. Escuchará un pitido que le alertará a usted y al conductor
que el pase ha sido aceptado.
5. Se escuchará un zumbido de falla cuando un pase
no sea leído bien, sea inválido o esté vencido. Si
esto sucede, deslícela de nuevo. Si se escucha un
segundo sonido de falla, por favor pague la tarifa
estándar con otros medios.
TRANSBORDOS
Ya que estos pases proporcionan viajes ilimitados
en un periodo dado de tiempo, ya no necesitará obtener
transbordos del conductor. Simplemente deslice su
pase cada vez que aborde un autobús. No puede utilizar
los pases fuera del condado de Marin.
