Dear Partnership Families,
We hope you are enjoying your summer break and practicing your skills. We have posted some
resources on our website to help prevent Summer Learning Loss. You may find them in the
Announcements section of our website. We are excited about beginning another year of learning at
Partnership. Here are some important dates for your calendar as we get ready for the new school year:
♦ Last month you should have received a post card from the WCPSS Transportation Department
regarding yellow bus service. The deadline for transportation changes for our school calendar is
June 27th. If you would like more information about this process or have questions about
transportation, please visit the WCPSS Transportation website at www.wcpss.net/transportation.
2016-2017 bus stops will be announced by the Transportation Department in July on their
website.
♦ Before and After School Care Registration will be on Thursday, July 14th at 9:00 a.m. in the
multi-purpose room. We have placed the 2016-2017 rate information under the Parents section of
our website.
♦ Meet the Teacher for students in grades 1-5 will be Friday, July 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00
a.m. You will be able to meet your child’s teachers, see the classroom, and receive information
about your child’s grade level. Representatives from Child Nutrition Services, WCPSS
Transportation and the school nurse will also be available. If you child is new to Partnership this
year, we may change his/her homeroom teacher after we know him/her better and complete
beginning of the year assessments the first few weeks of the school year. Kindergarten Meet the
Teacher will occur after kindergarten staggered entry. It will be on Friday, July 29th from 10:00
a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
♦ The first day of school is Monday, July 25th. Kindergarteners will start according to the staggered
entry schedule. If you are a parent of a kindergartener and are not sure of your child’s start date,
please contact the office.
♦ Students may enter the building and go to classrooms starting at 8:00 a.m. Instruction begins at
8:30 a.m. and dismissal is at 3:00 p.m.
♦ Back to School Night will be held Thursday, August 11th at 5:00 p.m. In addition to learning
more about the instructional program in your child’s classroom, you will be able to learn more
about our PTA. We strongly encourage all families to join and support our phenomenal PTA.

Estimadas Familias de Partnership,
Esperamos que esté disfrutando sus vacaciones de verano y practicando sus habilidades. Hemos publicado
algunos recursos en nuestro sitio web para evitar la “pérdida de aprendizaje durante el verano” (Summer Learning
Loss). Los encontrará en la sección titulada Announcements en nuestro sitio web de la escuela. Estamos muy
entusiasmados por el comienzo de otro año de aprendizaje aquí en Partnership. Aquí hay algunas fechas
importantes para colocar en su calendario mientras que nos preparamos para el nuevo año escolar:
♦ El mes pasado debió haber recibido una postal del departamento de transporte en cuanto al servicio de los
autobuses escolares. La fecha límite para los cambios del transporte para nuestro calendario escolar es el
27 de junio. Si desea más información en cuanto a este proceso o si tiene alguna pregunta sobre el tema
del transporte, por favor visite el sitio web del departamento de transporte de WCPSS en
www.wcpss.net/transportation. Las paradas de los autobuses escolares para el año escolar 2016-2017
serán anunciadas en julio por el departamento de transporte en su sitio web.
♦ La inscripción para los programas de Cuidado Antes y Después de la Escuela se llevará a cabo el jueves,
14 de julio a las 9:00 a.m. en el salón de múltiples usos. Hemos colocado la información en cuanto a las
tarifas para 2016-2017 en la sección Parents de nuestro sitio web.
♦ Nuestro evento de Conocer al Maestro (Meet the Teacher) para aquellos estudiantes en los grados del 1º
al 5º será el viernes, 22 de julio de 9:00 a.m. a 11:00 a.m. Usted podrá conocer a los maestros de su hijo,
ver su aula y recibir información en cuanto al nivel de grado de su hijo. Para este evento también estarán
disponibles representantes de los servicios de nutrición infantil (Child Nutrition Services), del
departamento de transporte y la enfermera escolar. Si su hijo es nuevo a la Primaria Partnership este año,
quizás cambiemos su maestro del aula principal después de que lo conozcamos un poco mejor y después
de completar las evaluaciones del inicio del año durante las primeras semanas del año escolar. El evento
de Conocer al Maestro del Kínder se llevará a cabo después de la entrada escalonada del Kínder. Este
evento se llevará a cabo el viernes, 29 de julio de 10:00 a.m. a 11:00 a.m.
♦ El primer día de clases es el lunes, 25 de julio. Los estudiantes del Kínder comenzarán de acuerdo a su
horario de entrada escalonada. Si usted es padre de un estudiante del Kínder y no está seguro de la fecha
de inicio de su hijo, por favor póngase en contacto con la oficina de la escuela.
♦ Los estudiantes pueden entrar al edificio e ir a sus aulas respectivas a partir de las 8:00 a.m. La
instrucción en las aulas comienza a las 8:30 a.m. y la salida de los estudiantes es a las 3:00 p.m.
♦ La Noche de Regreso a la Escuela (Back to School Night) se llevará a cabo el jueves, 11 de agosto a las
5:00 p.m. Además de informarse sobre el programa educativo en el aula de su hijo, usted podrá conocer
más sobre nuestra Asociación de Padres y Maestros (PTA). Recomendamos a las familias de asociarse y
apoyar a nuestra PTA fenomenal.
