If you did not receive a letter home to indicate your participation please feel free to print out a letter
and return as indicated.
ENGLISH VERSION OF THE LETTER
Dear Parent/Guardian:
We are pleased that your child will be moving to middle school for Grade 6 or
Grade 7. The system will host a transition program for students on August 19,
2010. Please allow your child to participate in the program. You will receive
transportation information from the Transportation Office. If your child will be
attending a program where entrance is gained by the lottery or audition, they will
receive additional information.
In order for the middle schools to prepare materials, please fax your
acceptance to participate in this day to the Department of Curriculum and
Instruction at 301-333-0979 or email the information below to
[email protected]. Please call Dr. Gladys Whitehead, Director of Curriculum
and Instruction, at 301-808-8240 if you have any questions.

Nos complace saber que su hijo(a) pasará a la escuela intermedia para
cursar el sexto o séptimo grado el año que viene. El sistema escolar patrocinará
un programa de transición para los alumnos el 19 de agosto, 2010. Por favor,
permita que su hijo(a) participe en el programa. Usted recibirá información
acerca de transportación directamente de la Oficina de Transportación.
Para que las escuelas intermedias puedan preparar los materiales, les
pedimos que respondan a esta invitación con llenar el formulario abajo y llevarlo
a la escuela de su hijo(a), mandarlo por fax al 301-333-0979 o mandarlo en un email a [email protected]. Favor de llamar a la Dra. Gladys Whitehead,
