2015-2016 Required Summer Reading by Grade Level

The students are required to read the summer reading book before the start of the 2015-2016 school
year. Los estudiantes tendrán como requisito la lectura de un libro durante el verano y antes del inicio del año
escolar 2015-2016.

The students (grades K-12th) are NOT required to complete a summer reading project. Este año, los estudiantes

The students in K-2 will complete a CLASSROOM assignment based off the summer reading book at the opening of
the school year, which will be a class work grade in the 1st nine weeks. Los estudiantes desde Kindergarten hasta 2do.

The students in grades 3-12th, including AP English courses, will be given an ASSESSMENT based off the
summer reading book at the opening of the school year, which will be an assessment grade in the 1st nine weeks. Los

AP World and US History students have to complete a book report, due August 28, 2015. Las asignaturas

section. The summary should be no more than half of the report. The
report should be a maximum of 6 pages with a minimum of 3. The
report should be double spaced with appropriate grammar,
punctuation, spelling, etc. In the reflective portion discuss the author’s
view, why you picked the topic, is the information accurate, and any
criticism you have. Would you recommend this book to others? Why or
