TAYLORSVILLE NEWS Friday, September 16, 2016 @TESbears Taylorsville families, SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR TO SUPPORT OUR LIBRARY Mrs. McKenney is excited to announce that our annual Scholastic Book Fair will open next Friday! All classrooms will visit the Book Fair during their Library times between next Friday and Thursday, September 23. Students will also have the opportunity to visit briefly in the morning between 8:00-8:15 with the permission of their classroom teacher! On Monday, we will have our FREE PTO Chili Supper and evening shopping hours for the Book Fair! We will begin serving chili at 5:30 p.m. and will continue as long as the chili lasts! The Book Fair will be open until 7:00 p.m. that evening! To close out our Book Fair, Mrs. McKenney will host Donuts with Dad and Muffins with Mom on Friday, September 23 from 7:45-8:15 a.m. She will then begin packing it up to return to Scholastic. We are so thankful for your support of our Book Fair! If you would like to help Mrs. McKenney in the library, we would greatly appreciate the help! Double your rate of failure.” Thomas Watson A FEW REMINDERS: MORNING DROP OFF TIME Students should not be dropped off or arrive to school before 7:45 a.m. AFTERNOON DISMISSAL PLANS If the dismissal plan should change, you can contact the office with a change, but WE RESPECTFULLY ASK THAT YOU CONTACT US BEFORE 2:00 P.M. This ensures that we have a smooth and safe dismissal of all students! SPORTS PHYSICAL DUE DATE To all 5th and 6th grade students who are interested in trying out for our Basketball Teams, you must have an IHSAA sports physical form completed and signed by an appropriate physician (dates 4/1/16 or later) on file before participating in tryouts. Tryouts will be Monday, October 17, the day we return from Fall Break! Todos los salones de clase visitaran la Feria del Libro durante sus tiempos de Biblioteca entre el siguiente viernes y jueves, 23 de Septiembre. Los estudiantes también tendrán la oportunidad de visitarla brevemente en las mañanas entre las 8:00-8:15 ¡Con el permiso de sus maestros de clase! ¡El lunes, tendremos nuestra PTO Cena de Carne con Chile “Chili Supper” GRATIS y horas de Compras por la Tarde para La Feria del Libro! !Comenzaremos sirviendo “Chili” a las 5:30 p.m. y continuaremos mientras que el “Chili” dure! ¡La Feria del Libro estará abierta hasta las 7:00 p.m. de la tarde! EXAMEN FISICO DE DEPORTES FECHA DE ENTREGA Todos los estudiantes de los grados 5to y 6to que estén interesados en participar en nuestros Equipos de Basketball, deben de tener presentado un formulario del Examen Físico de Deportes IHSAA completado y firmado por un doctor apropiado (fechado al 1/Abril/16 o después) antes de participar en la pruebas previas a pertenecer al equipo. ¡Las pruebas serán el lunes 17 de octubre, el día que regresamos de las Vacaciones de Otoño “Fall Break”!
