YOUR HEALTH CARD
1. What is the SIP card?
It is an administrative document that gives you access
to the Health Centres and public hospitals in the
Valencian Community.
The SIP Health Card is essential if you need medical
care at any of the public health care centres, so it is
important that you or your family has one.
2. How do you get a SIP card?
You can get one at any public health care centre or
hospital by submitting the relevant documents
according to your administrative situation.
3. What are the benefits of the SIP card?
You get free health care. Specifically,primary health
care,specialist health care,A&E and primary health
care and admission to the Vinalopó Hospital, and
pharmaceutical prescriptions depending on your type
of accreditation.

administrative formalities necessary to apply for a card.

4. Where can I get a SIP card?
At any of the Health Centres under the Vinalopó
Department:C.S.Toscar,C.S.Carrús,C.S.Sapena,C.S
Plá-Vinalopó,C.S.Crevillente,C.S.Aspe and auxiliary
clinics.
5. What are the opening hours?
08.00-22.00 at Vinalopó Hospital, and 08.00-22.00 at
the Health Centres.
6. Do I need to pay for the SIP card?
No, issue of the original card is free.
7. Which is my hospital of reference?
For all users who use any of the health centres
mentioned above, the Vinalopó Hospital is your
hospital of reference.
8. Can I be treated at the Vinalopó Hospital even if I have
a different hospital of reference?
Yes, the hospital has a 24-hour A&E service
9. If I have a health card from another autonomous community,
can I be treated at this hospital?
Yes, it will cover all the temporary treatment you need
in primary health care and A&E and any specialist
treatment you need if prescribed by the doctor.
10. If I have a European health card, can I be treated
at this hospital?
Yes, it will cover all the temporary treatment you need
in primary health care and A&E and any specialist
treatment you need if prescribed by the doctor. For
