were given by God to put behind us the
temptations that come before us. That
as we rely on the Mercy of God we are
more powerful than anything the devil
throws in front of us. So as we walk
through this Season of Lent let us know
we are not walking alone...but we are
walking with Jesus to Jesus.

Our Lenten Service Project is sponsored by the
St. Martha’s Guild. We will be collecting item
listed below over the next three weeks beginning
Sunday, February 21st for Sunrise FoundationWIC Clinic located in Mesquite. Sunrise Foundation is a nonprofit
organization that also sponsors the Federal WIC program that is
available to pregnant women and infants to 5 years of age. It is
a nutritional and supplemental program for low income
families. Food cards are issued to qualifying families to
purchase authorized nutritional food items. Your donations will
help supplement that list. Bring your donations to the church on
the weekends when you come for Mass or any time during the
week.

KNIGHTS CORNER
K of C Business Meeting- 6:30 pm
Gathering Room (Rosary at 6:1 5) on the
1st Tuesday of the month.
We would like to welcome and congratulate four new Knights to
our Council. On Sunday, February 21st, Cesar Gonzalez and Cesar
Zarate completed the First Degree Exemplification and were installed
as new members in tour Mesquite Council. Ausberto Trujillo and
Tomas Trujillo also re-joined the Knights as new members of our
Council.
Also, on Saturday, February 20th five of our First Degree Members and two guests completed the Second and Third Degree
Exemplification hosted by our Council. Brothers Andy Allen, Wes
Barton, Frank Castro, Donald Hendon, and Rocco Zappia were
“Knighted” at the ceremony held at the Bunkerville Education Center.
The State Second And Third Degree Teams were here to perform the
installations.
Please keep the military men and women who are
listed on the prayer wall in your prayers. If you have
a family member serving in the military in any
capacity and would like to add their name to our
prayer wall contact the Parish Office.

BAPTISMS: Register at the Parish Office two months in
advance. Baptisms are on the 2nd & 4th Saturdays of the month,
2:00pm in Spanish and 12 Noon in English. Required Baptism
classes are held on the 4thThursday of the month from 6:00-9pm in
Bunkerville.
MARRIAGES: Please contact the Parish Office six months in
advance to schedule an appointment with Fr. Blaise.
QUINCEAÑERAS: Register at the Parish Office 6 months in
advance. A deposit is required at the time of registration.
Quinceañeras are held on Saturdays at 12Noon. The young woman
and her parents are required to meet with the Priest or Deacon one
month prior to the celebration.
FUNERAL MASS: Contact the Parish Office for a date and time if
not already arranged through the mortuary. You will then be
contacted by our Funeral Mass Coordinator to arrange music and
readings.
MINISTRY TO THE SICK/HOMEBOUND: To arrange
Communion to the sick or homebound or to receive the Sacrament of
the Anointing of the Sick for someone on Hospice, seriously ill, the
elderly or anyone scheduled for surgery call the Parish Office.
SACRAMENT SPONSORSHIP
If you require a letter of permission to sponsor someone for a
Sacrament outside our parish contact the Parish Office.

¿Cuál es el significado de la sangre de Cristo?
La frase “la sangre de Cristo” se usa muchas veces en
el Nuevo Testamento, y es la expresión de la muerte sa crificial y la obra de expiación de Jesús en nuestro favor.
Las referencias a la sangre del Salvador incluyen la
realidad de que Él literalmente se desangró en la cruz,

Un mensaje del Padre Blaise...
Según recorremos esta época de Cuaresma,
se nos recuerda del poder que Dios nos ha
dado para dejar atrás todas las tentaciones
que nos llegan. Cuando confiamos en la
Misericordia de Dios, nosotros somos más
poderosos que cualquier cosa que nos
presenta el demonio. Así que, según vamos
por esta época de Cuaresma, sepamos que
no caminamos solos...sino que caminamos
con Jesús hacia Jesús.

Proyecto Parroquial de Cuaresma
Nuestro Proyecto de Servicio Parroquial es patrocinado por el
Gremio St.Martha. En las próximas tres semanas, comenzando
el domingo 21 de febrero, recogeremos artículos para la Clínica WIC de la Fundación Sunrise en Mesquite, una organización sin fines de lucro que también patrocina el programa
federal WIC, disponible a mujeres embarazadas y a niños de
hasta 5 años de edad. Es un programa nutricional y
suplementario para familias de ingresos bajos.
Recogeremos alimentos no perecederos y los artículos mencionados abajo. Por favor traiga sus
donaciones a la iglesia cuando usted viene a Misa
en los fines de semana, o durante la semana. Gracias.

Deseamos darles la bienvenida y felicitar a cuatro Caballeros nuevos en nuestro Concilio. El domingo 21 de febrero, César González y César Zárate completaron su Certificación de Primer Grado y fueron iniciados como miembros nuevos de nuestro Concilio de Mesquite. Ausberto Trujillo y Tomás Trujillo también se reincorporaron a los Caballeros como miembros nuevos de nuestro Concilio.
También el sábado 20 de febrero, cinco de nuestros
miembros de Primer Grado y dos invitados completaron su
Certificación de Segundo y Tercer Grado que organizó
nuestro Concilio. Los hermanos Andy Allen, Wes Barton,
Frank Castro, Donald Hendon y Rocco Zappia recibieron
dicha condecoración en una ceremonia que se tuvo en el
