Housing arrangements: Please indicate types of accommodation offered and applicable fees.
Students are encourage to live in host families (Peruvian family) where can get an individual room and
include breakfasts and lunch, the price is between USS 150 and USS 180 per month. Also, exists the
possibility of renting a department and the price will depend on the characteristics, space and comforts of
the place. The districts near University Campus are: San Miguel, Pueblo Libre, Magdalena. A little far: San
Isidro and Miraflores, this last one is one of the most expensive districts but quite also modern and near to
malls and centers of entertainment

Visa
The foreign students who come by the agreement modality can accede to an official visa. In this way it is
necessary that students indicate the number of its passports in its documents.
In order to obtain the official visa our General Office of Cooperation sends a communication to the Peruvian
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that informs to the Consulate of Peru in your country of origin. Our University will
communicate to students so that they can approach to the corresponding Consulate. Procedure must take
a minimum of a month of anticipation.
The obtaining of the official visa is very important to assure the stage, initially is granted by 90 days,
renewable to its arrival to Peru.

The Exchange Program by Agreement is management by the OGCRI and has as objective facilitate the
register in San Marcos to students of foreign universities, with which we have an agreement of cooperation
for this academic exchanges.
Each student receives the designation of a tutor who orients him during the process of registration in the
Faculty. Concluding their stage receives their certificates and returns to their universities of origin where
they conclude its university studies.
The academic year is divided into two semesters: odd semester: ( March 15- July 15) and pair semester
( August – December 15)
REQUIREMENTS:
The students that are interested in take some courses through the “Exchange Program by agreement”,
must send the following documents:

Letter of presentation, emitted by the university of origin ( signed by the Dean, Tutor o Director of
International Relations), addressed to the Office for Cooperation and International Liaisons. The
letter must indicate the condition of student of the applicant, the semester in which it is,
specialty and the period of study that wants to take.

Certificates of studies. (Translated to Spanish).

Curriculum vitae in Spanish.
ƒ
Brief giving the reasons or interest that have for studying in San Marcos.

Photocopy of the passport or ID.
