UNIT 3: PRESENT PERFECT
En general, el Present Perfect se construye de la misma forma que en español (verbo HAVE y PAST PARTICIPLE) y tiene los mismos
usos (principalmente, una acción reciente que consideramos relacionada con el presente).
ALREADY es un adverbio que significa “ya”. Por lo general se usa en oraciones afirmativas, y se coloca delante del PAST
PARTICIPLE. I have already watched that film.
YET es un adverbio que significa “todavía [no]”. Se usa en oraciones negativas (y en interrogativas con el significado de “ya”) y se
coloca al final de la oración. I have not watched that film yet. Have you watched that film yet?
STILL (que no aparece en estos ejercicios) también significa “todavía”. Tiende a aparecer en PRESENT CONTINUOUS (afirmativa o
negativa) delante del V-ING, o en PRESENT PERFECT (negativa) delante de HAVE. I am still waiting for your answer. I still have not
found what I am waiting for.
JUST se utiliza para crear la perífrasis “acabar de”, y se coloca delante del PAST PARTICIPLE. The film has just started.
