As Self-Determination becomes reality, facilitators will play a vital role. This indepth training is intended for those who are interested in becoming a facilitator.
The law requires facilitators to be trained. This will be a concrete, practical
workshop covering the many facets of this job and the steps needed for
successful facilitation. This curriculum will include:
 A Brief Overview of Self Advocacy Strategies
Determination
 Identifying Appropriate Services
 The Role of the Facilitator
for Individuals
 Effective Person Centered
 Panel Discussion of Facilitators
Planning
(Formerly Service Brokers)
 Development of a Budget
