Emphasis
The University of Cambridge ESOL examinations are
recognised around the world. Kaplan can help you
prepare for the First Certificate in English (FCE) or
the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE). All Kaplan
International Colleges in Australia and New Zealand are
Cambridge ESOL computer-based testing centres. With
the computer-based tests (CBT), you will receive the
same Cambridge certificate, benefit from more frequent
exam dates and a shorter wait for results.
This programme is suitable for motivated students
who want to gain an internationally recognised English
language qualification in a computer-based format.

CBT (final) Exam dates
CBT FCE: Thursday 14 April, Saturday 20 August and
Friday 2 December
CBT CAE: Friday 15 April and Saturday 10 December
Please note: The KIC pre-arrival level test may be required and
can be arranged by your Kaplan representative. Additional
accommodation may be required to include the official exam
date. Exam entry is compulsory for all students enrolled on a
Cambridge course. Cambridge exam fees and materials fees are
not included in course price. Examinations may take place on a
Saturday.
Students can also incorporate a CBT exam as part of an Academic
Year or Semester programme. A test is available for all students to
take prior to arrival or in their chosen schools to establish the CBT
exam that is most appropriate for their level of English. Students
should see the Director of Studies or Course Tutor for advice on
examinations.
