HIGHLIGHTS
We continue to work on the mechanisms that confer migratory
capacity and adult progenitor features to cell clusters. In particular,
we focus our efforts on the analysis of the Drosophila tracheal
system.
We have tracked individual cells in a cluster of migrating cells and
characterised the features and cytoskeletal organisation of leading
and trailing cells respectively.
We have shown that FGF signalling in a single tip cell triggers the
collective migration of the cell cluster.
