Her world began in her father’s workshop. He is a very well known silversmith in Salta, Argentina.
When she was 14 years old, Roxana began to experience the mixture of every and all materials she used
to find, and started working with unusual combinations, such as alpaca, plastic, wool, cotton, and other
typical elements from her land.
At the age of 17, she made her first outlines for a collection of accesories, in which she included the designs of bags and high heels made of silver 925 and alpaca, and applied on them traditional techniques,
such as engraving and emboss.
For this collection, she won a grant by Presidencia de la Nación named “Beca a la excelencia Cultural,
Expresiones Folcklóricas”.
What makes her firm unique are her creations, in which she includes not only industrial but also traditional pieces of clothes, such as aguayo and barracan, two different types of multicolored pieces of
clothes woven on a loom.
In 2001 and in the following three years, she was selected by AVON to take part in Feria de ArteBA, where
she presented collections of accessories and clothes.
Due to her permanent creativity and productivity, she was selected in numerous design fairs and expositions, such as:
• Puro Diseño 2005.
• Buenos Aires Fashion Week 2006 / 2007.
• Puro Diseño 2008.
• Fundación Maya (MEXICO - Península de Yucatán) 2008.
• San Telmo por la Calle 2008, organized by Fundación Proteger and Instituto Nacional de Tecnología.
• “Lo Proximo Cercano” New Argentine Design and Centro Cultural Virla (Tucuman 2009). She was
selected by the well known organization, INTI.
• Fashion Week (BOGOTÁ - Colombia) from the 16th to the 20th of February, 2010. She was selected
by Presidencia de la Nación and Fundación EXPORTAR.
• Puro Diseño 2010.
• Puro Diseño 2011 - Selected by the designs of their portfolios metal, leather and skins “Puro Inedito“.
• First week of Design, Salta - Argentina. 2011
