Adams 14 is thrilled to welcome Maestra Freda Hernandez,
the coordinator of the
Programa Binacional de Educación Migrante.
Maestra Hernandez will be in Adams 14 speaking with families on Tuesday, April 28 from
5 to 7 p.m. in the Adams City High School cafeteria (7200 Quebec Parkway).
Dinner and childcare will be provided.
All employees and families are welcome to join these important conversations, which
will cover topics including:
• Informationtosupportthestrengtheningof knowledgeof thehistory,culture,valuesand
traditionsof MexicanstudentslivingintheUnitedStates;
• StrategiestosupportmorealignedcommunicationsbetweeneducatorsintheUnitedStates
andMexico,inanefforttoshareinstructionalbestpracticesthatsupportallstudents;
• ExperiencesfromMexicaneducatorswhohaveestablishededucationalcollaboration
programsthatenrichMexicanstudentsinbothcountries;
• Opportunitiesthatencouragetheexchangeof ideas,experiencesandinformationamong
educatorsfromtheUnitedStatesandMexico;
• RaisingawarenessamongeducatorsregardingtheeducationalissuesthattheUnitedStates
andMexicoshare.
