Me
The All About Me banner helps your child talk about and identify the things that make him
special. If your child feels good about himself, he will not be afraid to try new things, fail at
something and then try again. Life-long-learning is a series of trial and error experiences.
What your child will do
Make a banner that tells your story.
What you need
•The book -- I Like Me! by Nancy Carlson
•Construction paper banner
•Stickers
•Pen or pencil
•Crayons
•Stamps and stamp pads
•Straws
What you do
1. Pick a banner.
2. Color and cut it out.
3. Look for stickers and/or stamps that best describe you.
4. Place the stickers and/or stamps on your banner.
5. Staple a straw to your banner.
6. On the back of the banner write something about you.
Questions to ask
Tell me about your banner. Why did you choose the items you did to put on your banner?
Does my banner look like yours? Does your banner look like the other banners? Why?
For parents
The All About Me activity will help you know if your child is proud of who he is. Encouraging
words from a parent helps a child know that the important thing is to try. For example say:
“You always try so hard when you make something,” instead of “Your banner is perfect”.
Getting encouragement from his parent can help a child be a successful person because he is
not afraid to try.

•Cojinetes de tinta para sellos
•Popotes
•Pluma o lápiz
•Crayones
Lo que usted hace
1. Seleccionar un estandarte.
2. Colorearlo y recortarlo.
3. Buscar las etiquetas engomadas y/o los sellos que mejor lo describen a usted.
4. Poner las etiquetas engomadas y/o los sellos en su estandarte.
5. Engrapar un popote a su estandarte.
6. En la parte de atrás del estandarte escribir algo sobre usted.
Preguntas
Dime sobre tu estandarte. ¿Por qué seleccionaste las cosas que hiciste para ponerlos en tu estandarte?
¿Se parece mi estandarte al tuyo? ¿Se parece tu estandarte a los otros estandartes? ¿Por qué?
Para los padres
La actividad de Todo sobre mí le ayudará para saber si su niño está orgulloso de quien él es. Palabras de
ánimo de los padres les ayuda a los niños para saber que lo importante es tratar. Por ejemplo: diga “Tu
siempre tratas de hacer lo mejor cuándo haces algo,” en lugar de “Tu estandarte está perfecto”. El
obtener ánimo de sus padres le puede ayudar a su niño a ser una persona triunfadora porque no tiene
miedo a tratar de hacer cosas nuevas.
