Dangerous
• Please check whether the ARD has been damaged in the transportation process
before the ARD unpacking, installation, wiring and operation. If you have any contact
with the Marketing Department or technical department of the department.
• Before installation, please carefully read the instructions of this product. Please
strictly follow the content requirements of the instructions, and standardize the

serious injury, damage to the product, and the original elevator system.
• Do not directly touch the input/output terminals, the components on the control
panel, the danger of electric shock and damage control panel.
• Before the connection, please confirm that the input power is disconnected, and
the electric operation has the hazard of electric shock and fire.
• If the operation is wrong, it can lead to death or serious injury.

Attention
• ARD, damaged ARD and missing accessories, do not install.
• ARD is prohibited to be installed in such places as wet, corrosive and
flammable.
• Do not connect the three-phase power input line to the output U, V, W terminal,
and the voltage on the output terminal will cause the internal damage of ARD.
• When connecting the power line, use the specified screwdriver to tighten the
terminal.
• Please tighten the ARD terminal regularly.
• In order to explain the details of the product, the principle diagram of the
device is sometimes used as the state of the outer cover (door) or the security
covering; When running this product, please make sure to pack the outer cover (door)
or cover, and use the content of the instruction to carry out the operation.

ARD profile
To improve the reliability of elevator running, avoid because of external power
grid blackout, lack of phase, fault phase caused by the elevator people phenomenon,
and therefore the passengers of physical and mental damage, the company's research
and development series elevator power automatic emergency rescue equipment,
hereinafter referred to as ARD.
ARD is a backup emergency power system outside the original elevator control
and frequency conversion system. ARD has the features of simple installation wiring,
convenient debugging and high cost performance. When the power outage of the
three-phase power grid, ARD will automatically put into work in the setting time,
slowly move the elevator car to the nearest platform, open the door, and release the
passengers. Thus the maximum mitigated personnel ladder injury.
Precautions before installation
1. In order to properly install, debug and use the series elevator power failure
automatic emergency rescue device (ARD), please carefully read the manual of this
product.
2. This manual is applicable to the elevator power failure automatic emergency rescue
device for ARD single-phase power output.
3. In order to avoid accidents of personnel and equipment, the installation, debugging
and maintenance of ARD must take the following security measures:
(1) The installation, connection and commissioning of ARD shall be carried out by
relevant technicians in elevator industry.
(2) Prior to the installation, connection and maintenance of ARD, please ensure that
the power switch of ARD and the total power supply of the elevator are turned off,
otherwise the ARD will start to power supply, which will cause the danger of electric
shock.

(3) Please ensure that the elevators are well grounded.
(4) Please follow the instructions or warnings in the manual to prevent damage to
the installation or maintenance personnel, while avoiding damage to the elevator
equipment.
(5) Please confirm that the connection between ARD and the elevator system is
correct before switching on the three-phase power supply.
4. This manual introduces the installation and fixing of ARD, the description of the
connection steps, the debugging and use, the failure and elimination methods, etc.,
and introduces the external signal terminal of ARD.
ARD Functional features
• This product USA the MICROCHIP company 16-bit DSP microcomputer
processor as the control core, ARD the various output signal are controlled by MCU,
very accurate, such as the startup time, running time, stop time, etc., can eliminate the
malfunction caused by inverter warming-up, etc.
• In the normal situation of three-phase power supply, ARD is in standby mode
while charging the battery pack. When the three-phase voltage is without power,
phase and fault phase, ARD starts to go into reverse mode to provide backup power
for the elevator control cabinet; When the three-phase power supply is restored, ARD
can quickly switch back to standby mode.
• The power failure of the three-phase power supply is 15s or 30s (adjustable)
when the power failure of the power supply to ARD can be switched on. This function
effectively solves the problem of the electric discharge of the elevator inverter.
• The inverter output time of ARD is 180s or 360s (adjustable), which can
solve the problem that the elevator car needs to run for a long time to reach the level.
• The speech calming function (optional) can provide a variety of statements

such as: mandarin, English, Malay, Cantonese etc.
• The battery charging method is the pulse charging technology, which can
maximize the chemical reaction speed of the battery and shorten the time of filling the
battery; At the same time, the polarization of the positive negative plate of the battery
is guaranteed to decrease or decrease as far as possible, so as to improve the
efficiency of battery use.
• ARD is wired and connected, and the site is not needed to change the line to
facilitate subsequent maintenance.
• Control panel is simple, intuitive, easy to understand and convenient for user
operation.
• Battery pack is used to avoid the maintenance battery.
• Compact size and convenient installation.
Installation and connection instructions

3. The setting of the dialing switch
One of the dialing switches is used to control the start delay time:ON:15S;OFF:30S。
The two bits of the dial switch are used to control the reverse output time :
ON:180S;OFF:360S。
ARD debugging and instructions
1. The connection between ARD and the elevator control cabinet must be
completed in the elevator installation and debugging, and the elevator can be put into
operation after normal operation.
2. First disconnect the total power supply of the elevator control cabinet and
then connect the link between ARD and the elevator system according to the

connection. Check and confirm wiring correctly. Please ensure that the three-phase
power supply RI SI TI and RO SO TO have no fault, otherwise it will cause ARD
irreparable damage.
3. First connect the normal three-phase power supply, then the control switch
ON ARD panel ON the ARD panel, the yellow indicator ON ARD panel flashes,
ARD is in standby mode, and the battery group is automatically charged.
4. The blue indicator on ARD panel lights up when the three-phase power fails,
and the blue indicator on the rear panel flashes, the ARD is in contravariant mode,
and the elevator system is supplied with power. After the 180S or 360S, ARD will
automatically stop running and wait for the three-phase power supply to return to the
standby mode automatically.
5. The product has the function of output short circuit protection, overcurrent
protection and battery protection. Battery charging has overpressure, under pressure
and overcurrent protection function, which can prevent the battery from being
damaged by overpressure, under voltage and overcurrent charging.
6. There is no need for internal debugging after the product leaves the factory.

3. It is suggested that if there is no power failure, the battery can be discharged
in 3 ~ June. If there are abnormal conditions such as charging voltage or discharge
characteristics of the battery, please replace this battery.
4. When the power failure is required to maintain the elevator, be sure to close
the ARD running switch to prevent accidental injury.
