Jose Olaya José Silverio Olaya Balandra or José O. Laya was a martyr in the fight for the Independence of Peru. This was a fisherman by trade, born in 1782, in Chorrillos and died on June 29, 1823, Plaza Mayor de Lima, Lima Santa Rosa de Lima Saint Rose of Lima, secular name Isabel Flores de Oliva, was a Dominican tertiary Catholic saint canonized by Pope Clement X in 1671. She was born on April 20th of 1586 in Lima and passed away on August 24th of 1617
