We'll look at the four key steps to get the instance set up and delete it at the end of the

you need to create one. You can find instruction videos,

from classic SD rebates? SD rebates processing is no longer supported in SAP S/4HANA.
The successor to SD rebate processing is condition contract management in Settlement
Management.

This functionality contains several parts. First is customizing where you customize your system

according to your business requirements. Then we have data sources.

For sales processes, data sources are sales orders, deliveries, and invoice documents.
Then we have condition contracts where you specify your rebate information like settlement
calendar,

business volume selection criteria, and you specify rebate conditions.

Then you run settlement program, which determines business volume, which calculates prices

and which creates settlement documents. Settlement documents contain detailed information
about your settlement, and also act as a reference to G/L account postings.

Why do we need to switch from classic SD rebates? With traditional ERP system, rebate
indexes are very large.

You need to rebuild index in case of changes. You have inflexible business volume
determination rules.

Rebate data is locked throughout the organization when rebuilding. And also, large data
volumes affect system performance.

But thanks to the wind of innovation, we don't have such problems in SAP S/4HANA.

With SAP S/4HANA, you have the significantly enhanced functionality

of Settlement Management. It's a common functionality

You don't need to rebuild the rebate index in case of retroactive update or changes.

How do you create a condition contract for sales rebates? You use the Monitor Condition

business volume criteria like customers or materials, settlement calendar with settlement

scenario

for multiple customers. It can be two-step rebate,
where you have the ability to aggregate figures from several condition contracts.

in a reference document. The settlement date type is a very important topic.
So the settlement date type in a settlement calendar of the condition contract allows you

usually used for long-term contracts, one year or two year, when your customers do not want
to wait

until the end of the validity period to get their payments. So with this settlement date type,

As an optional step, you can check business volume for your contract before each settlement

selection screen.

I will show you how to create a contract, how to settle it and we'll show you some basic
capabilities for reporting.

You can maintain some header texts, it's not mandatory, so we'll skip it.
Then we will specify business volume selection criteria. So we will use just one customer, the

This is the default status after creation. It indicates that you are free

if you recognize that they are incorrect because there are other agreements with your
