BIOGRAPHY OF BILL GATES William Henry Gates III, better known as "Bill Gates" was born on October 28, 1955, he lived in the city of Seattle, in the state of Washington. He studied at the elite Lakeside private school in Seattle, this school already had a computer in 1968, which allowed Gates to get in touch with the machine and become fond of computing. Also, at Lakeside he met Paul Allen, with whom he would later found MICROSOFT. On April 4, 1975, he created the MICROSOFT software company while he was still a student at Harvard University, then he was the creator of the MICROSOFT WINDOWS Operating System that is used in the vast majority of computers in the world to this day. He is married to Melinda Gates, and both hold the leadership of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, dedicated to providing opportunities in health and education at the local level, especially in less favored regions, which is why they were awarded the Prince of Asturias Award for International Cooperation 2006.
