What’s the reproductive system?
It’s the internal part of a human being that has as
main function to reproduce.
Men and women have different reproductive organs. A
woman's ovaries produce egg cells, and her uterus can
carry a developing baby. A man's testes produce sperm.
Other glands add fluids to the sperm.

HOW DOES
PREGNANCY
HAPPEN?
Male:
Sperm Cell Structure
The journey of the
sperm.
Spermatozoa
It’s the male sex cell which
can be fertilized to develop a
new organism.
Male sex cells are in the seminal
fluid (semen). They combine with
the female cells and créate
completely a new organism.

Female:
Egg Cell Structure
It’s the female sex cell which
carry a man’s genetic material.
The journey of the egg
cell.
Fertilization happens when a sperm cell
successfully meets an egg cell in the fallopian
tube. Once fertilization takes place, this newly
fertilized cell is called a zygote. From here, the
zygote will move down the fallopian tube and
into the uterus. The zygote then burrows into
the uterus lining.
Male + Female = Fertilization
•
Fertilization of
an egg by sperm,
normally occurs in
the fallopian
tubes.
Fertilized egg is
called zygote.
The zygote moves
to the uterus,
where it implants
into the lining of
the uterine wall.
