Frida Kahlo is one of the most recognized Latin American painters worldwide. Her work, professional and personal life have immortalized her throughout the years. She is known worldwide as Frida Kahlo, although her original name was Magdalena Carmen Frieda Kahlo. Her aspiration was to study medicine. However, Frida suffered a serious accident in 1925, when her bus was run over by a streetcar. That is why the artist had to undergo 35 operations. Her uterus was damaged and she could not become a mother. The painter began with oil self-portraits. Frida had painted 143 paintings and 55 are self-portraits. One of her best known works is: The Broken Column, Frida painted what she saw, which was reality. She was the first Latina to have a painting in the Louvre Museum, with her work Called "The Frame". Mafer: And another curious fact about frida is that Frida married Diego Rivera on August 21, 1929 and later they divorced because both used to have extramarital affairs. Pinto mi propia realidad” Fue la primera latina en tener una pintura en el Museo de Louvre, con su obra “El marco” Frida se casó con Diego Rivera el 21 de agosto de 1929 y después se divorciaron porque ambos tuvieron parejas extramatrimoniales, Frida era bisexual, su relacion más conocida fue con Joséphine Baker.
