She is known worldwide as Frida Kahlo, although her original name was Magdalena Carmen Frieda Kahlo. Her aspiration was to study medicine. However, Frida suffered a serious accident in 1925, when her bus was run over by a streetcar. That is why the artist had to undergo 35 operations. Her uterus was damaged and she could not become a mother. The painter began with oil self-portraits. Frida had painted 143 paintings and 55 are self-portraits. One of her best known works is: The Broken Column, Frida painted what she saw, which was reality. She was the first Latina to have a painting in the Louvre Museum, with her work Called "The Frame".
