Don’t say you hate cats until you have one It is a fact that some people hate cats for many reasons and they have probably not got one yet. Some of them believe that cats are bad luck, disloyal or savage. However, people would think just the opposite if they give them the chance to be part of their lives considering that not all cats are mean and most of them can be great partners. In this essay, I am going to deny those beliefs and to show that cats not only are a great companionship but also they are going to bring you unconditional love among other feelings. Many beliefs are heard when talking about cats but not all of them are true. As regards black cats, there is a superstition that if you come across one of them, it will bring you bad luck, which is false. On the contrary, some cultures think that they are lucky. But, among both superstitions, they are just animals and they won’t bring you bad or good luck for their fur. I had a black cat some time ago, and he was the sweetest cat I have ever had, that is why you should know them first instead of judging them by their colors . Cats are also believed to be savage or dangerous. This is a wrong generalization since their attitude will mostly depend on how we raise them. Most cats are neither savage nor dangerous, they are affectionate and they give you company. They may be savage if they feel attacked and they may scratch at you if you are harming or abusing them. This will surely happen if you are unknown to the cat. As regards loyalty, cats are always compared with dogs. It is said that dogs are the best friends of humans in terms of loyalty. Although cats are also loyal, they manifest it in a different way. They are autonomous and they may not obey you like a dog but they show how loyal they are to you when they purr at you, lick your hands, or when they rub their cheeks to demonstrate to you how much they love you. What is more, they can sense when you feel sick, sad or stressed and in those days you would notice that your cat is around you wherever you go to keep your company. Given these reasons, those who hate cats or are afraid of them should give them a chance to know them and they will probably realize that cats are more interesting than they think. Moreover, having a cat has many advantages. To mention some, you do not need to have a big house or a garden as/since they can adapt themselves in small places, they are very clean since they do their feces in a litter box and groom themselves, and they can reduce mental stress and be an exceptional partner. Cats can be independent or autonomous and some days they won’t pay you much attention (as they love sleeping all day) but they are always going to find a way and a moment to show their affection.
