In the nationwide study only a third of women said they felt extremely confident using new technology, compared to 56% of men. Men make up two-thirds of IT users, spending more than 10 hours per week on-line. Men also play games more than women - with 61% of male PC owners playing interactive games compared to 45% of female owners. The study by the Work Foundation's iSociety found over half of UK adults own a personal computer, 74% own mobile phones and 41% live in homes with digital TV. It also revealed that 93% of 16 to 24-year-olds have sent a text message, compared to only 10% of over-65s. Only one in five PC owners is over the age of 65, and twothirds of those in this age-group believe there is "too much technology to keep up with". http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_634629.html?menu=news.technology
