It all began in Los Angeles, where Crichton was writing films for Hollywood. He had quit Harvard Medical School and separated from his wife because he wanted to concentrate on writing. One day I was going into an office building. I was carrying a big box of paper which I was delivering to a business. Suddenly, a woman who was walking behind me pushed right in front of me. She opened the heavy glass door and did not hold it for me. The door slammed in my face, I fell backwards on the sidewalk. Since then, I have always made sure that I hold doors open for people. It is a good habit that when you go for a walk your dog take your bags for your dog's poop, one day while walking my dog another person also walking his pet ignored that his dog had defecated so I offered him a bag and instinctively the person was offended and began to attack me, since then I carry extra bags in case I run into this type of people and I collect the poops for hygiene.
