Write the number 3 on the back of your circle. 4. DESCRIBE 3 problems faced by one of the main characters. Use complete sentences. Write the number 4 on the back of your circle. APPLICATION: 5. DRAW a picture of a setting from the story. Write detailed sentences to describe it. Write the number 5 on the back of your circle. ANALYSIS: 6. Choose from ONE of the following options: DRAW a picture of the most exciting, the funniest, or the saddest part of the story. Provide a brief explanation why you chose this part. EXPLAIN the conflict (type) and how it was resolved. COMPARE/CONTRAST two characters in the story. Tell how they are alike and different. Use a double bubble map to show your comparison. WRITE a poem about the story. Choose a part of the book that is particularly appealing to you. The poem should be at least two verses. Make it very creative – a shape poem, a limerick, a haiku, etc. It can be any type of poem you choose. Write the number 10 on the back of your circle. EVALUATION: 11. INCLUDE an important quotation that is directly related to the overall theme of the book. Use your creativity to add color and images to this circle that help showcase the overall mood of the theme. 12. WRITE a paragraph telling your opinion of the book. Tell why you would or would not recommend to a friend. You must use descriptive and detailed sentences. The ball should be colorful and visually fun, but the most important aspect is what is written in the circles. Use your best writing skills including correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
