Con sus invitaciones a la conversión, la
Cuaresma viene providencialmente a
despertarnos, a sacudirnos del torpor, del
riesgo de seguir adelante por inercia. La
exhortación que el Señor nos dirige por
medio del profeta Joel es fuerte y clara:
«Convertíos a mí de todo corazón» (Jl 2, 12). ¿Por
qué debemos volver a Dios? Porque algo no
está bien en nosotros, no está bien en la
sociedad, en la Iglesia, y necesitamos cambiar,
dar un viraje. Y esto se llama tener necesidad
de convertirnos. Una vez más la Cuaresma
nos dirige su llamamiento profético, para
recordarnos que es posible realizar algo
nuevo en nosotros mismos y a nuestro
alrededor, sencillamente porque Dios es fiel,
es siempre fiel, porque no puede negarse a sí
mismo, sigue siendo rico en bondad y
misericordia, y está siempre dispuesto a
perdonar y recomenzar de nuevo. Con esa
confianza filial, pongámonos en camino.
    
