Resumen Ejecutivo – Curriculum Vitae Dr. Carlos A.Gabuardi, Ph.D. El Dr. Carlos A. Gabuardi , Lic. Jur., LL.M., Ph.D., es abogado en el ejercicio libre de la profesión y socio fundador de Gabuardi Abogados. Recibió su Licenciatura en Derecho en la Universidad de Monterrey, la Escuela de Derecho de la Universidad de Tulane, le otorgó una Maestría en Derecho, con honores; y obtuvo el grado de Doctor en Derecho (Ph.D.) por la misma universidad. Actualmente es Investigador Honorario de la Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey y ha sido miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores con Nivel 1, además de haber escrito y publicado diversos artículos en revistas jurídicas especializadas de México y el extranjero. El Dr. Gabuardi fue abogado del Departamento Legal del Banco Mundial, Washington, D.C.; Gerente Legal Corporativo y Secretario Suplente del Consejo de Administración del Grupo Gamesa; fue Profesor de Derecho en el Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Director del Departamento de Derecho en la Universidad de Monterrey; Profesor Visitante de Derecho, St. Mary´s University School of Law, San Antonio, Texas; miembro del comité de planeación y administrador del programa: "Joint Venture. A Transnational Study and Training Program for U.S. and Mexican Business Lawyers” (St. Mary's University School of Law y Universidad de Monterrey); Profesor de asignatura en The Washington College of Law, American University, Washington, D.C.; Profesor de asignatura en la Universidad Regiomontana; miembro del Consejo Consultivo Regional del Centre for Conciliation and Arbitration de St. Mary's University School of Law. Es miembro de la Barra Mexicana de Abogados, Colegio de Abogados, Capítulo Nuevo León (Responsable de Enlace Universitario, ha presidido la Comisión de Derecho Internacional y Comparado, y actualmente preside la Comisión de Derecho Mercantil), miembro de la Asociación Nacional de Abogados de Empresa, A.C., miembro de la Academia Neoleonesa de Derecho Mercantil, miembro de la Barra de Abogados México – Estados Unidos, en la que fue el Co-­‐Presidente Mexicano del Comité de Educación Jurídica. Es Co-­‐Secretario General del Grupo de los 100 del Centro de Innovación, Desarrollo e Investigación Jurídica para Latinoamérica, y miembro de número de esa organización con el No. 63, es miembro supernumerario de la Academia Mexicana de Derecho Internacional Privado y Comparado y de la Academia Internacional de Derecho Comparado. Arbitro Certificado del Centro Estatal de Métodos Alternos de Resolución de Conflictos, miembro de la Comisión de Arbitraje de la Cámara Internacional de Comercio así como también es socio del Club Rotario Monterrey Industrial. Fue Presidente de la Provincia XXVIII de la Fraternidad Jurídica Internacional Phi Delta Phi, miembro del Consejo Consultivo Externo de NAFTA: Law and Business Review of the Americas;. fue miembro del Consejo Editorial de la Sección Nacional del periódico El Norte (Grupo Reforma) y representó al Tecnológico de Monterrey en el Consorcio de Justicia del Programa Eurosocial de la Unión Europea. Asimismo, el Dr. Gabuardi ha producido y dirigido los programas “El Mundo del Derecho y el Derecho en el Mundo” (Frecuencia Tec, 94.9 FM,) y “Justicia y Derecho” (AW Noticias, 1280 AM) Ha enseñado cursos sobre: El Marco Jurídico de la Empresa, Sociedades Mercantiles, Derecho Comparado, Derecho Internacional Público, Derecho Internacional Privado y Transacciones Comerciales internacionales. La práctica del Dr. Gabuardi se concentra en el Derecho Corporativo, Contratos, asesoría jurídica integral a empresas, así como en litigio doméstico e internacional, incluyendo arbitraje comercial. Executive Summary – Curriculum Vitae Dr. Carlos A.Gabuardi, Ph.D. Dr. Carlos A. Gabuardi, Lic. Jur., LL.M., Ph.D., is a practicing lawyer and founder of Gabuardi Abogados. He holds a License in Jurisprudence from Universidad de Monterrey; a Master of Laws, with distinction, from of Tulane University and a Doctorate of Laws (Ph.D.) from the same university. Doctor Gabuardi has published several articles in Law Reviews and Journals in Mexico and abroad. He is currently a Distinguished Legal Researcher at Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey and has been member of the National Researches System with Level 1. He has published in Law Reviews in Mexico and abroad. Dr. Gabuardi was a lawyer in the Legal Department of the World Bank, Washington, D.C.; Corporate Legal Manager and Assistant Secretary of Grupo Gamesa. He was Professor of Law and researcher at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Head of the Law Department and Professor of Law at Universidad de Monterrey; Visiting Professor of Law, St. Mary´s University School of Law, San Antonio, Texas; co-­‐planner and administrator of the program: "Joint Venture. Dr. Gabuardi’s law practice focuses on Corporate Law, Contracts, Business Transactions, as well as on International and Domestic Litigation.
