Según el Reglamento Para Embarques de Autos bajo la Ley #8, de agosto de 1987 antes de embarcar un
vehículo de motor, los siguientes requisitos tienen que ser completados junto con la entrega del mismo:
1. Registración y título de propiedad del vehículo. Copia licencia de conducir del dueño.
El título y registración no puede tener gravamen. Verifique encasillado de venta condicional de ambos.
2. Certificado de no multas pendientes de pago con sellos de $1.50.(vigencia de validez, 5 días) (Obras Públicas)
3. Recibo de lavado a presión, incluyendo el motor y por la parte de abajo del vehículo.
4. Comprobante de Rentas Internas (Colecturía) de $10.00 por cada vehículo.
5. Autorización notarizada (original) certificada por el Estado y protocolarizada en P.R. más copia de la licencia
del dueño autorizando el embarque, es requerido cuando el dueño no esté presente o cuando la unidad esté a
nombre de alguna Compañía.
6. Carta del banco (original) autorizando el embarque en caso de tener algún gravamen.
7. Todo vehículo a ser embarcado tiene que ser pre-inspeccionado en la División de Vehículos Hurtados de la
Policía de P.R. que corresponda de acuerdo al área de su residencia. Posteriormente el vehiculo será
inspeccionado nuevamente por División De Vehículos Hurtados en las facilidades de Crowley. El cliente no
tiene que estar presente para la misma.
Todo vehículo a ser embarcado tiene que tener menos de un cuarto de tanque de gasolina.
Antes de entregar el vehículo, la alarma y el corta corriente que no sean instalados por el manufacturero, tienen que
ser desconectados. No se aceptarán vehículos que no tengan los sellos con los números de identificación legibles en las
puertas, bonete, tapa de baúl y “dash board”. Todas las partes reemplazadas tienen que ser documentadas
Como requisito Federal, todo cliente debe solicitar un # de EIN que sustituye al del Seguro Social para protección de

Los fletes tienen que ser pagos al momento de entregar el auto. Aceptamos: ATH, Money Orders, Cheques de Gerente
Certificado, Visa, Master Card y American Express. NO EFECTIVO
Una vez estos requisitos sean completados se recibe la unidad por la División de Autos de Crowley de 8:00 a.m. a 11:00
a.m. y de 1:00 p.m. a 3:00 pm., de lunes a jueves. Tiene que traer su vehículo 3 días antes a la fecha que espera se
Embarque.
Vehículo hacia puerto extranjero (incluyendo U.S.V.I.) tiene que ser inspeccionado por la Aduana Federal en la siguiente
oficina martes y jueves de 1:00 pm a 3:00 pm.: Vehículo hacia Estados Unidos no tiene que hacer Aduana.

Ningún vehículo será embarcado si no cumple con estos requisitos y los violadores serán procesados de acuerdo a la Ley,
constituyendo esto un delito grave.
Seguro opcional disponible a $11.20 por cada $1,000 de valor, que no exceda el valor del auto.
NO SE ACEPTAN EFECTOS PERSONALES DENTRO DEL VEHICULO DE MOTOR.

REGULATIONS FOR SHIPPING VEHICLES
UNDER LAW #8, OF AUGUST, 1987
According to the Rules for Shipping Vehicles under Law #8 of August, 1987, prior to shipping a motor vehicle,
the following requirements must be presented together with the vehicle:
1. Registration and Ownership Title of the vehicle. Copy of driver license.
Please verify that the Title and Registration do not have any conditional sales or loan.
2. Certificate of “No Fines” due with $1.50 stamp (valid for 5 days). (Obras Publicas)
3. Certificate of Pressure Wash and Clean, including the motor and beneath the vehicle.
4. Internal Revenue (Colecturía) $10 voucher (comprobante) for each vehicle.
5. An original Power of Attorney by a Public Notary certified by the state and register by a lawyer in
P.R. with copy of owner identification authorizing the shipment is required when the owner is not
present at shipment time, or when the unit is a Company owned vehicle.
6. Letter from the bank (original) authorizing the shipment, if the unit has an active mortgage.
7. All vehicles have to be pre-inspected by the local Stolen Vehicle Division of the P.R. Police
Department that correspond according with the customer residence.
Once all these requirements are met, the vehicle is received by Crowley Car Division Department from 8:00 a.m.
to 11:00 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. from Monday thru Thursday. The final Police inspection of
the vehicle is performed at Crowley premises. All vehicles must be at least 72 hours prior to export at the
port.
If the vehicle is to be ship on a container, arrangements for inspection have to be made by the customer with the Stolen
Vehicle Division.
No vehicle will be accepted unless it has legible identification numbers in the doors, hood, trunk and dash board,
and all replaced parts are documented. Prior to delivery the vehicle, if the alarm if not from the manufacturer has to be
disconnected.

Freight charges have to be paid in San Juan, P.R. in ATH, Money Order, Certificate Managers Check, Visa,
Master Card or American Express. NO PERSONAL CHECKS OR CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED.
All vehicles may have no more than one-fourth tank of fuel and must be checked for identifiable faults in the electrical
system that could result in a short circuit or other unintended electrical source of ignition.
U.S. Customs must inspect all vehicles shipped to foreign ports (including U.S.V.I.) on Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00
pm to 3:00 pm Vehicle to United State do not need Customs. U.S. Customs location is:

No vehicle can be shipped if all Law requirements are not met. Violators will be prosecuted, according to the Law.
Optional car insurance available at $11.20 per $1,000 worth of insurance, it should not exceed the vehicle value.
