APUNTES CAPÍTULO: 2B TEMA: Using Adjectives As Nouns • To avoid repetition, use adjectives to refer to the differences between same objects verb + article (of the noun) + adjective Ex. Quiero el vestido rojo, no quiero el azul I want the red dress, I don’t want the blue one • The article of the noun must be used with the adjective: article + adjective (el/los, la/las, un/unos, una/unas) + adjective Ex. Quiero unos zapatos negros; no quiero unos cafés I want black shoes; I don’t want the brown ones • To avoid repetition when talking about what something is made of or ownership, use: verb + de + adjective Ex. ¿Es una chaqueta de lana o es una chaqueta de cuero? = ¿Es de lana o de cuero? Ex. ¿La chaqueta es de José o la chaqueta es de Pedro? = ¿Es de José o de Pedro?
