GUIDELINES FOR SCHOOL DRESS
Students learn best when they are comfortable and dressed appropriately.
Most of the clothes children wear everyday are appropriate for school.
There are a few specific items that we have determined disruptive to our
learning environment.
SCHOOL DRESS
The clothes students wear while in school should not disrupt or interfere with
the learning environment.
EXPECTATIONS
• Student must wear clothes that do not show underwear or too much
skin.
• Students must wear shirts that do not have inappropriate messages or
graphics.
• Students must wear shoes at all times. Shoes should be appropriate
for recess and PE class.
• Students will change into appropriate clothes when asked by staff. If
students do not have a change of clothes, the school has an extra
supply.
SPECIFIC GUIDELINES
• No belly shirts
• No halter/backless tops
• No strapless shirts
• No shirts with spaghetti straps unless covered by another shirt
• No mini skirts
• No short shorts
• No baggy pants or shorts that allow underwear to show
• No tight muscle shirts.
The “Guidelines for School Dress” were established in April, 2005 by the 4th
and 5th grade students at César E. Chávez Elementary. The school
leadership team, Site Council and the Chávez Parent Group approved these
guidelines.

DIGO DE VESTIMENTA ESCOLAR
Los estudiantes aprenden mejor cuando se sienten comodos y se visten
apropiadamente. La mayoria de la ropa que usan a diario los niños son
apropiadas para la escuela. Hay algunos articulos que hemos determinado
que interrumpen el ambiente de aprendizaje.
VESTIMENTO ESCOLAR
La ropa que los estudiantes usen durante la escuela no deber de interrumpir
o interferir con el ambiente de aprendizaje.
EXPECTATIVAS
• Los estudiantes deben de usar ropa que no muestre ropa interior y
que no muestre mucha piel.
• Los estudiantes no pueden usar camisas con mensajes o graficas que
sean inapropiadas.
• Los estudiantes deben de usar zapatos siempre. Los zapatos deben
de ser apropiados para el recreo y educación física.
• Los estudiantes se deberán de cambiar de ropa si el personal se lo
pide. Si el estudiante no tiene un cambio de ropa, la escuela tiene
cambios.
GUIAS ESPECIFICAS
• No blusas que muestren el estomago
• No blusas halter o que enseñen la espalda
• No blusas sin tirantes
• No blusas de tirante, al menos que traiga otra abajo
• No mini faldas
• No pantalones cortos
• No pantalones holgados o pantalones cortos que muestren la ropa
interior
• No camisas apretadas (muscle shirt)
Las Codigo de Vestimenta se establecieron en abril del 2005 por estudiantes
de 4to y 5to grado de la Primaria de Chávez y Escuela Familiar. El grupo de
liderazgo, Concilio Escolar, y Grupo de Padres de Chávez aprobaron el
código.
