ESTA DECISION NO ES NOSTALGICA NI REPRODUCE SIMPLEMENTE LOS ESCENARIOS CONVENCIONALES DE LA HISTÓRICA CIUDAD. ESTA DECISIÓN GENERA UNA INTENSA FRICCIÓN ENTRE LA ARQUITECTURA Y ESPACIO URBANO, Y TAMBIEN EXPLICA, DE UNA FORMA PEDAGÓGICA, EL CONTEXTO DE LOS EDIFICIOS PRESERVADOS. NUESTRA PROPUESTA ES UN EFECTIVO GENERADOR DE COMPLEJOS, DE SITUACIONES URBANAS, ESPACIALES Y SOCIALES SIN FIN. LA EXISTENCIA, LA VIDA TENDRÁN UN CARACTER IMPORTANTE DENTRO DEL AREA DE CARLSBERG. CARLSBERG NO ES UN LUGAR SNOB MARGINADO DEL RESTO DE LA CIUDAD DE COPENHAGEN. CARLSBERG ES, POR ENCIMA DE TODO, UNA NUEVA CLASE DE CENTRALIZACIÓN URBANA. We propose to generate high-rise architecture by vertically extruding the perimeters of the buildings we demolish. That is the way history proceeds. We have built our future on the precedent foundations. On the urban subject, this means substituting the arbitrariness of any other layout of the architecture in the Carlsberg area because of the consolidation of the energy and genetics of pre-existences. This decision is not nostalgic and does not merely reproduce conventional stages of the historic city. This decision generates an intense friction between architecture and urban space, and also explains, in a pedagogical way, the context of the preserved buildings. Our proposal is an effective generator of complex and endless urban, spatial and social urban situations. The existence, the life, will be main characters into the Carlsberg area. Carlsberg is not a snobbish place marginalized from the rest of the city of Copenhagen. Carlsberg is, above all, a new kind of urban centralization.
