CREDIT WHEN CREDIT IS DUE 2011 Class Schedule Credit When Credit Is Due (CWCID) Workshop Providing the skills for the wise use of credit is the main focus of our CWCID workshops. Participants of this course learn not only about financial terms and definitions but are also shown practical tools to incorporate in their spending habits and borrowing decisions. They learn about setting a monthly spending plan and a feasible goal-related savings plan. Also how the creditgranting process works and what entitles healthy debt-to-income ratios. Participants are shown what a loan agreement entails and also important factors to consider when shopping for a loan, whether it’s an auto loan, mortgage loan, or a credit card. Another good component to learn are the steps to take to establish or re-establish good credit practices that will eventually impact your credit history. Through each of the twelve lessons of CWCID, we reinforced how important the wise use of credit is and how participants could integrate healthy financial habits into their personal finances and lifestyles. CCCS offers this education curriculum of twelve lessons in a series of four class meetings to be offered monthly in either English or Spanish. The lessons are self-contained and can be taken in any order desired. Graduates of the Credit When Credit Is Due program earn a certificate, registration in the national American Center for Credit Education database, and entry of a positive statement to all three national credit reporting agencies. The cost of Credit When Credit Is Due program is $25; Scholarships and on-line option are available too. Los participantes de este curso no sólo aprenden sobre los términos financieros y de definiciones, pero también se muestran herramientas prácticas para incorporar en sus hábitos de gastos y las decisiones de crédito. Ellos aprenden a desarrollar un plan de gastos mensuales y un plan de ahorro para lograr sus metas financieras. También aprenden acerca de cómo funciona el proceso de concesión de crédito y como mantener saludable el porcentaje de la deuda en contra del ingreso. Nuestros participantes también aprenden sobre los factores importantes que se consideran al aplicar por un préstamo, ya sea para financiar un carro, una casa o simplemente una tarjeta de crédito. Otro componente muy importante en este curso es como establecer o re-establecer crédito, porque eventualmente las buenas practicas impactaran su historial crediticio. A través de cada una de las doce lecciones de CWCID, hemos reforzado lo importante que es manejar el crédito con cautela y cómo los participantes pueden integrar buenos hábitos financieros en sus finanzas personales y estilos de vida. CCCS ofrece este programa de educación de doce lecciones en una serie de cuatro sesiones de clases que se ofrecen mensualmente, ya sea en Inglés o Español. Las lecciones son autónomas y pueden tomarse en cualquier orden que desee. Los graduados del Crédito al Mérito obtendrán un certificado del Centro Nacional Americano de la Educación de Crédito y una oración positiva será agregada a las tres agencias del buró de crédito.
