Teacher Bios - Solana Beach School District

TERI HARRAH
Teri Harrah has been an educator for thirty years. She did her undergraduate work at the
University of California, Santa Barbara and received her graduate degree from San Diego
State University. She has taught every grade from kindergarten to sixth grade, but since
joining the Skyline staff in 1998, she’s taught mostly sixth. She is married to Jim, who
teaches social studies at Torrey Pines High School, and they have four children between
the ages of 20 and 24. In their free time, the Harrahs enjoy playing sports and going to
the beach! They are a very active bunch!
REGINA ANDERSON
Regina Anderson is starting her ninth year teaching sixth grade at Skyline, which she
finds fun and rewarding. She received a Bachelors of Arts in Spanish at UCLA and spent
a year abroad in Barcelona, Spain to complete her studies. She later moved to Santa Cruz
where she attended UC Santa Cruz to earn her teaching credential and Masters in
Education. Regina also completed an Administrative Credential program at SDSU
Spring 2010. Regina is a native of Encinitas and attended elementary school at St. James
Academy here in Solana Beach. With her family and friends, she enjoys camping,
running along the beach, reading, traveling, and eating and baking sweets!
CATHY SCHROEDER
Cathy Schroeder is starting her ninth year with the Solana Beach School District. She
previously taught at the primary level for 11 years in Carlsbad. Cathy is thrilled to be
teaching 6th grade and being a part of a dynamic group of educators. Cathy enjoys
spending her free time with her sons, Richard (24) and Parker (21). She also loves to
read, run, walk, and be outdoors.
MICHELLE THEOBALD
Michelle Theobald earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology emphasizing in Child
Development from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and her Masters of Education and
Teaching Credential from National University here in San Diego. Michelle loves
teaching and encourages creativity and critical thinking in her classroom. Outside the
classroom, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, Tyler, her baby Caden, and
their playful puppy, Tahoe. She also enjoys traveling, being outdoors, reading a good
book, and photography.

Teri Harrah ha sido educadora por más de veintiocho años. Ella hizo su trabajo de
licenciatura en la Universidad de California de Santa Barbara, y recibió su título en la
Universidad Estatal de San Diego. Ella ha tenido la oportuniad de impartir clases en
todos los grados, desde Kindergarten hasta 6to. Grado. Ella ha estado en Skyline desde
1998 dando clases en quinto y sexto grado. Durante los últimos años se ha especializado
en la enseñanza de matemáticas y le gusta poder coordinar un magnífico currículo
trabajando en conjunto con un grupo creativo y dedicado de maestros. Ella está casada
con Jim, quien es maestro de estudios sociales en la Escuela Secundaria Torrey Pines.
Ellos tienen cuatro hijos entre las edades de 18 y 21 Cuando tienen tiempo libre los
podrán encontrar en cualquier campo de deportes, o en la playa. ¡Ellos son un grupo
muy activo!
REGINA LOPEZ
Regina Lopez inicia su sexto año enseñando el septimo grado en Skyline que es muy
divertido para ella. Ella recibió su licenciatura en español en UCLA y pasaron un año en
Barcelona, España para terminar sus estudios. Después ella se trasladó a Santa Cruz
para asistir a UC Santa Cruz para obtener su credencial de maestra y su maestría en
educación. Regina es nativa de Encinitas y asistió a la Academia de St. James aquí en
Solana Beach. Regina is excited to get married in April 2011 to her fiancé who is also a
teacher! ¡A ella le gusta acampar, correr a la playa, leer, viajar, y cocinar y comer dulces
con su familia y amigos!
CATHY SCHROEDER
Cathy Schroeder inicia su septimo año en el Distrito Escolar de Solana Beach.
Previamente dio clases a nivel elemental por 11 años en Carlsbad. Cathy está feliz por
poder dar clases a 6to. Grado y por poder ser parte de este grupo tan dinámico de
educadoras. Cuando tiene tiempo libre, a Cathy le gusta pasarla con sus hijos, Richard
(22) y Parker (19). También le gusta leer, correr, caminar y hacer actividades al aire
libre.
