Objetivo: Celebrar la poesía española y cultivar el arte de la declamación

Lugar: Escuela Primaria Reed

Horario: 9:00 a.m. a 11:00 a.m. Presentaciones individuales ante los jueces
12:00 p.m. Ceremonia de clausura del festival y entrega de diplomas a
todos los participantes
Todos los estudiantes del Distrito Escolar de Leander pueden participar.
Habrá cinco categorías:
Pre-K/Kinder
Primero/segundo/tercer grados
Cuarto/Quinto grado
Middle School
High School
En cada categoría se distinguirá entre los alumnos cuyo primer idioma es
español y los que están aprendiendo español como segundo idioma.
Cada alumno presentará un poema seleccionado de la colección oficial del
festival. Cada categoría cuenta con varios poemas para elegir. Los
participantes recitarán su poema individualmente ante los jueces y recibirán
una puntuación a base a los siguientes criterios:
• Memorización
• Clara presentación
• Interpretación original del poema
Los jueces recomendarán dos participantes en cada categoría para la
presentación final en la ceremonia de la clausura del festival.
Si su hijo o hija está interesado en participar, por favor complete y devuelva la
hoja de inscripción a la maestra/el maestro de su hijo antes del 30 de octubre.

Third Annual Spanish Poetry Festival

Time: 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., individual presentations for judges
12:00 p.m., closing ceremony and presentation of certificates
All LISD students are eligible to participate in one of five categories:
Pre-K/Kindergarten
First/Second/Third Grades
Fourth/Fifth Grades
Middle School
High School
In each category, students can participate as native speakers or learners of
Spanish as an additional language.
Students choose one of the various poems from the official festival collection.
They will recite their poem individually in front of two judges and receive
feedback based on the following criteria:
-memorization
-clear presentation
-original interpretation of the poem
The judges will recommend two students from each category to present their
poem during the closing ceremony.
If your child is interested in participating in this festival, please return the
attached registration form to his/her teacher by October 30th.
