una madre por excelencia

MARIA: “UNA MADRE POR EXCELENCIA”
Desde los comienzos de la creación del hombre, Dios nos anuncia que sería de la MUJER de donde
saldría nuestra salvación. “Y pondré enemistad entre ti y la mujer y entre tu simiente y la simiente
suya; esta te herirá en la cabeza y tú le herirás en el calcañal.” (Génesis 3:15). Como mujeres,
nuestro deseo es ser mujeres y madres excelentes, me gustaría tomar a María, la madre de Jesús,
como ejemplo de una madre por excelencia.
María aceptó y obedeció al llamado de Dios. La Biblia nos enseña, como ella recibe con gozo y
humildad la voluntad de Dios, que ella sería la madre de nuestro Salvador y Señor Jesucristo. Ella
tuvo el poder para decir “si” o “no”, pero lo impresionante de esta mujer fue su obediencia a Dios
(Lucas 1:34-38). Esto nos enseña que para llegar a la excelencia como madres, debemos obedecer a
Dios en todo lo que El demande de nosotras.
María asumió el costo de ser la madre e Jesús. Ella sabía que sería malentendida por su familia y
vecinos, pero estuvo dispuesta a enfrentar todo el agravio y los rechazos de la gente por hacer la
voluntad de Dios. El ser madres tiene un costo muy alto. Necesitamos estar sometidas a la Palabra
de Dios para poder tener sabiduría ante cada circunstancia que enfrentemos en nuestra carrera
como mamás. Ser madre es un gran reto, pero como tales, debemos estar dispuestas a enfrentar
con valor cada uno de estos retos.
María consagró a su hijo desde pequeño en las manos de Dios. Apenas se cumplieron los días
señalados por la ley judía para la circuncisión, María llevó al niño a cumplir con los mandamientos de
Dios. La pasión de María fue educar a su hijo en su formación espiritual y cuidar así, de su llamado
al ministerio (Lucas 2:21-26). La cosa más hermosa que una madre debe hacer es consagrar su hijo a
Dios, educarlos en los caminos de Dios. Enseñarles a creer en Dios, obedecerle a El y a tener
dependencia total de El. “La mayor inversión como madres se encuentra en la formación espiritual
de nuestros hijos. “
María amó y siguió a Jesús hasta el final. Una de las obras más impresionantes de María fue su
amor y respeto por el ministerio de su hijo Jesús. María acompañó a su hijo en el recorrido de su
ministerio. Ella estuvo en las bodas de Caná (Juan 2:1-5) y dijo, “…Haced todo lo que os dijere”.
Ella estuvo en el momento que su hijo fue crucificado sufriendo el dolor y recibiendo al mismo
tiempo su perdón (Juan 19:25-27). Después que su hijo fue al cielo, ella estuvo con los 120
discípulos, esperando la promesa del Espíritu Santo y juntamente con ellos, fue investida de poder
(Hechos 1:14; 2:1-4).
Amadas en el Señor, toda madre es hermosa, pero puedes llegar a ser una excelente madre,
haciendo lo que Dios te dice, consagra tus hijos a Dios, enséñales los caminos de El. ¡Nunca te
desanimes en tu carrera como madre! Intercede por tus hijos y acompáñales hasta el final. Dios te
bendecirá y te honrará a través de ellos.

MARY: “AN EXCELLENT MOTHER”
From the beginning of creation, God announced that our salvation would come from a WOMAN, “And
I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush
your head, and you will strike his heel."(Genesis 3:15). As women, our desire is to be women and
mothers of excellence. I’d like to use Mary, the mother of Jesus, as an example of an excellent
mother.
Mary accepted and obeyed God’s calling. The Bible teaches us that Mary received with great joy
and humbleness God’s will: For her to be the mother of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She had
the power to say “yes” or “no”, but what the most impressive thing about this woman, was her
obedience to God (Luke 1:34-38). This teaches us that in order for us to be excellent as mothers,
we need to obey God in everything He asks us to do.
Mary assumed the cost as the mother of Jesus. She knew that her family and neighbors were
going to misunderstand her but she was willing to face all hardship and rejections so she could do
the will of God. There’s a high price to pay as a mother. We need to submit to the word of God in
order to have wisdom for every situation we face in our career as mothers. To be a mother, is a
great challenge but we must be willing to face such challenges, with courage.
Mary consecrated her son at a young age to the hands of God. As soon as the days for
circumcision had been met, Mary brought her child to the temple so she could fulfill God’s
commands. Mary’s passion was to educate her son by giving him the spiritual foundation and taking
care of his calling to the ministry (Luke 2:21-26). The most beautiful thing a mother can do is to
consecrate her child to God and educate them in God’s path by teaching them to believe, obey, and
have total dependence in Him. “The greatest investment of a mother is to give her children
spiritual formation”.
Mary loved and followed Jesus until the end. One of the most beautiful actions of Mary was her
love and respect for her son, Jesus. Mary was next to Jesus throughout his ministry. She was with
him at the wedding of Cana and said, “…do whatever he tells you” (John 2:1-5). She was there at
the time her son was crucified, suffering pain and receiving at the same time, her own forgiveness
(John 19: 25-27). After her son ascended to heaven, she was with the 120 disciples waiting to
receive the promise of the Holy Spirit. Mary, along with the disciples, was filled with power (Acts
1:14; 2:1-4).
Beloved of the Lord, every mother is beautiful but you can become a mother of excellence. The
way to achieve this is by doing what God tells you to do, consecrate your children to God and by
teaching them of His ways. Do not dismay in your career as mother! Intercede for your children
and be with them until the end. God will bless you and will honor you through their lives.
