SEED STARTING & CUTTINGS:
Burpee eco•friendly Natural & Organic GardenCoir is perfect for starting all types of
vegetable, herb and flower seeds. Use GardenCoir by itself or create a custom seed starting
mix by blending with Burpee Vermiculite or perlite, keeping coir at least 50% of the total mix.

INDOOR & OUTDOOR CONTAINERS:
For an ideal container growing mix, blend 2-3 parts Burpee GardenCoir with 1 part Burpee Vermiculite or
perlite. For a slightly heavier mix for large containers, add 1-2 parts organic compost. Lighten up any
pre-mixed potting mix by simply adding 1 part Burpee GardenCoir to 1 part pre-mixed potting mix.
RAISED GARDEN BEDS:
Burpee GardenCoir is an excellent natural and organic ingredient for all raised garden beds, especially
when growing vegetables & herbs. For a high quality mix, blend 1 part Burpee GardenCoir to 3 parts
organic compost. Mix thoroughly before planting for best results.
IN-GROUND GARDENING:
When growing vegetables or flowers in native soil, improve growing conditions by blending 1 part
Burpee GardenCoir and 1 part native soil. Mix thoroughly before planting for best results.

An all-purpose soil amendment made from coconut fiber

Coconut coir is recommended as an excellent soilless medium for hydroponic gardening. Use Burpee
GardenCoir by itself or incorporate 3 parts GardenCoir with 1 part Burpee Vermiculite or perlite.

Wear gloves when handling this product.
Use clean containers and tools when planting seeds and cuttings.

seed and starter lawn fertilizer as recommended, top-dress the planting area with a thin layer of
Burpee GardenCoir. This will keep the seed in place and provides for an excellent seed-growing
environment, especially in hot and dry conditions.
